Sam Rohrer:

Hello and welcome to this Thursday edition of Stand In the Gap Today. And to say that this week and the past weeks have been historic in many ways, I think would be an understatement. Never in my lifetime do I remember such major events, such frankly startling events. And this is another one, global impact events occurring in such well increasing frequency and intensity and never have I witnessed such a orchestrated theater distraction and deception as we’ve witnessed in, I’m going to say the last five years in particular. And never have I seen the minds of people so on one hand prepared to believe more lies and susceptible to more fear and prepared preplanned crises, and yet the same time so blind to major events unfolding all around and somehow believe that, well, it’ll happen to somebody else, but it won’t affect us here. These are strange and yet biblically prophesied today, if you listen to this program often, you know that we go to what scripture says and compare the events of the day against that, which is really the only accurate way to do that.

But today I’ve asked Michael T. Snyder, attorney economist, publisher of the economic collapse blog, the End of American Dream, the most important news and a whole lot more, and I think perhaps one of the most prolific truthful, I’m going to say fourth teller watchman on the wall that I know to join me today for conversation regarding I think that the most important news of the day as we sit here now and important for all of those, and if you’re listening to me right now, you are one of those with ears to hear. I know that now the title I’ve chosen to frame our program today is simply this. Some things everyone needs to know, some things everyone needs to know, and this is where we’re going to go. I’m going to get Michael’s perspective on these things. First, the recent whirlwind of Middle East events and the alleged ceasefire, his thoughts on that.

Segment two, we’re going to talk about the horrendous, really unbelievable New York City mayoral primary election of a radical Shiite Muslim just happened. In segment three, we’re going to consider 11 signs of the Collapsing American economy, the challenges that face that, and fourth segment. Then the last one we’ll consider in light of all that is known today, what can we expect in the days ahead and how can we respond personally all of these things and more right here on Stand in the Gap today and with it I welcome to the program right now, Michael Snyder. Michael, thanks for being back with me.

Michael Snyder:

Sam, thank you so much for having me on today. The world has changed so much since the last time I was on with you,

Sam Rohrer:

That’s for sure. You and I are talking about that before we began the program, your writing indicates that you’ve been very prolific, lots of things. Let’s get right into it. In all of your days as a journalist and researcher, do you remember a protracted period of time with so many large global and domestic events occurring? I’m going to say with such unpredictability and speed and significance, if not to, what do you attribute what we’re seeing today?

Michael Snyder:

It’s insane, Sam. I told one of my readers the other day that I’m literally getting whiplash because things are changing so fast. When you look at this 12 day war with Iran, and literally every day it seemed like President Trump was changing direction, Israel, Iran, things were happening so fast, things were moving and then things would be going one day, things would be going one direction. Then the next day it’d be a totally opposite direction. And so it’s hard to keep up with it all. It’s hard to figure out where things are going because things were changing and shifting on a dime. And then the other element of it is Matthew 24, Jesus said, Hey, it would be a time of wars and rumors of wars and the month of June in my entire lifetime, we’ve never seen as many rumors of wars as we did during that 12 days and really the whole month of June where because of social media, just everyone was constantly speculating about what just happened, what was happening now, what’s happening going to happen in the days ahead. And so there was constant speculation, constant reporting, constant rumors. Some of them were true, some of them were not true. And that continues even now that the war’s over, there’s rumors about, well, what happened? We think this happened. We think that happened. So a time of rumors of wars, what that phrase that Jesus used describes perfectly what we are witnessing in our world right now.

Sam Rohrer:

I think so too, Mike. I don’t know how else one can interpret that. Let’s get into this because related to what happened there, you talk about there was war and then there was peace, and then there was no peace, and then there was maybe peace and all of that. But you wrote an article entitled The Iranians View, this current ceasefire as a temporary tactical pause, share what the thrust of that article is about and why you wrote it.

Michael Snyder:

Yeah, I wrote that article because it’s so important for people to understand the way that Muslims see the world and see events can be far different than we do here in the Western world. We regard as ceasefire, as a cessation of hostilities that will ultimately lead to a permanent peace. But in the Islamic world, according to Islamic law, they have what’s known as a hudna. Now a hudna is a unique concept in Islam, which allows for a temporary cessation of hostilities in order to regroup and re-arm and then resume the fighting later. And this, it goes all the way back to the time of Muhammad wherein 6 28 ad, he made a 10 year treaty with those that were ruling Mecca at the time. And he said, okay, we’re going to make this 10 year treaty and we’re going to have peace for these 10 years.

But then Muhammad and his followers used it to regroup and re-arm, and then two years later in 630 ad the ceasefire broke down and they marched into Mecca and conquered Mecca. And of course the rest is history. And throughout history we’ve seen this where Muslims for a tactical or strategic reasons, if they’re losing, if they need a reprieve or whatever strategic reason, they agree to a ceasefire, a hudna, but it’s not for purposes of a permanent piece because ultimately how they view the world is that they’re destined to rule the world. They’re destined to conquer the world with their version of Islam and certainly the Iranians, they believe their version of Shia Islam will ultimately rule the world. They’re destined to conquer the world that through the descendants of Muhammad, and so for the Iranians haven’t given up on their long-term goals at all. In fact, they said, we’re going to continue the nuclear program. We’re going to destroy Israel. Nothing’s changed. But they’re agreeing to this pause because of course they were being pummeled on the battlefield. Israel had surprised them and their air defenses were destroyed. So Iran needed a pause, so they jumped at when Trump proposed it, they jumped

Sam Rohrer:

At it. Okay, and with that, Michael, just let it right there, ladies and gentlemen, a tactical pause, why it’s an ideologically driven concept, not peace. No, no temporary, but it’s Islamic ideology. It’s a worldview. It’s interesting that in New York City, the winner of the Mayoral election has that same mentality. If you’re just joining us, we’re going into our second segment now on this program, stand in the Gap today. My special guest today is Michael Snyder. He’s an attorney, he’s an economist, does a lot of writing on all things. I would say all things economic, increasingly global has a biblical worldview perspective on all these things and makes a big difference. He has a website at Michael T. Snyder dot substack.com where you can find almost all the articles to which we’ll refer today there. And you also have an opportunity to, for not very much at all, become a page subscriber, which is a good thing.

And when that’s the case, just like this program here, depends on volunteers and we do not have deep pockets, any of it is he, but that allows for independence and not to be under the gun as so many are being told what they are to say and what they cannot say. That’s not the case here on this program. And that’s certainly not the case with Michael in his writing now not being the case, our theme today is that some things everyone needs to know. This gave a thought in the last segment in an article there to talk about it, and that is the concept of Iran and accepting of the ceasefire. We’re not going to go through that, but according to Islamic thought, they don’t surrender. They are to conquer the world in their thinking. And so a agreement to any kind of a ceasefire is just a temporary pause to reconnoiter and to basically fight again and fight harder.

Now that being the case happened to that, it ties into something that just happened just two days ago, if you’re aware, in New York City that held a primary election for mayor. And on the Democratic ticket there were a total of seven candidates, only one of which was well known, and that was former governor Andrew Cuomo, who was expected to be the winner, but he was not. In the end, no candidate. None of the seven achieved the required 50% of the vote. So the process there is going to proceed to what is referred to now as a ranked choice process. However, the candidate who did win the majority vote won at 43.5% and he will, by all expectations, he will get the 50% when things are done. Andrew Cuomo, interestingly enough, former governor here, but expected to win, got 36.4% of the vote as of this morning, but an unknown candidate by the name of Zoran, Momani, Zoran Momani.

And he won. No one thought Daniel Cuomo would lose, but he did. Few thought that Zoran Momani would win, but he did. And it underscores the seriousness of the changing condition, not only of New York City, but frankly all of America. Now, Michael, the significance of the primary win by Zoran Momani cannot be overstated. You wrote an excellent article highlighting the major facts that all people need to know, and then you made some applications. Your article was entitled this, 14 things that Everyone Needs to Know about the Radical Muslim Socialist that just pulled off a shocking election victory in New York City. That was a long title, but you had a lot packed in there. Let’s go here first. Share first. Let’s say like maybe the top three, the first three that came to your mind of these 14 things that everyone needs to know about this radical Muslim socialist who definitely is on track to become the mayor of the most populous city in the United States and the Financial Center of America. This is no small matter,

Michael Snyder:

It’s no small matter at all, Sam. We’ve got this guy, Zoran Momani, who is a radical pro-Palestinian Islamic activist on the one hand. And on the other hand, he is a very open about the fact that he is a socialist. Most Democrats are socialists, of course, but he’s very open about it. He’s from that far left wing of the Democratic party. But then what most people don’t realize is that he was actually born in Uganda, comes over at the age of seven, but he has only been a US citizen since 2018. So he’s only been a citizen of this country for seven years, and now he’s going to be the mayor if he wins the general election in November, which everyone’s saying he’s probably going to do. So he’s going to be the mayor of the biggest city in the country, very, very important position being mayor of New York, and he’s going to do this after being a citizen for just seven years.

But he was of course endorsed by a AOC Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She campaigned for him very vigorously. And when he won, she was absolutely thrilled she was over the moon because it means tremendous things for her because this is kind of a huge milestone for the progressive movement in this country where someone who says, Hey, I’m a socialist. In fact, on Twitter, he says that he dreamed of creating a socialist New York, and that’s right on Twitter is what he wanted. So you’ve got a socialist, literally winning the Democratic nomination to be mayor of New York City. It shows how far the progressive movement has come, how far left the Democratic Party has shifted, and many are already saying that this could set the stage for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to make a very strong run for the Democratic nomination for president in 2028.

Sam Rohrer:

And see, Michael, that’s an interesting thing because you have AOC, which everyone knows, but she’s been reelected as bizarre as that woman is and is unconstitutional. And again, bizarre is the way to say it. Now, having this fellow win the entire city much bigger than just a congressional district, there’s two, two check marks now, and that’s why you say some are already saying, oh wow, we got the rise of AOC, we got a potential presidential candidate. Now imagine that. But anyway, those are the first three. Give me the next three or four items that we need to know about this guy.

Michael Snyder:

Yeah, president Trump is referring to him as a 100% communist lunatic, and he really is pushing things. What Momani wants to do was really unprecedented. What he wants to do, he not only wants to raise taxes on individuals and businesses in New York City, but he really wants to basically kind of create a socialist utopia. He wants to eliminate fares on city buses and public transportation. He wants to freeze cost on rent stabilized apartments, and that’s a big thing, rent control in New York City where they have all these rent controlled units, but he wants to say, okay, we’re not going to increase the rent on the rent control anymore. We’re going to freeze it to make it more affordable. And then the thing that’s really stirring people up is he wants to establish city owned grocery stores all over the city where it’s owned by the governments, basically communist grocery stores all over New York City now billionaire, John Kaus. He went on Fox News and he said, look, I have all these grocery stores all over New York City. I’m going to have to shut them down if they open up all these grocery stores because I’m not going to be able to compete with a government running grocery store. And so he’s kind of very upset about this, about, I mean, pure socialism, pure communism, where the government owns the grocery stores, but that’s what he wants to implement in New York City.

Sam Rohrer:

Not only that, he also called for the defunding of police, which other people have done as well. That was your number seven of your 14. Give me the next three after that.

Michael Snyder:

Yeah, he called for the defunding of police during the BLM riots, all that. He’s very much into that. And before he got into politics back in 2016, he was actually a rapper. He had a rap song featured in a Disney film, if you can believe that. So we’ve got this guy who was very much plugged into the streets. He was a rap artist. That’s kind of his background. And also when he was a college student. And another big element of his background that people need to understand is that when he was this college student, he co-founded the very first students for Justice in Palestine chapter at his college. His wife is also a pro-Palestinian activist. She’s originally from Syria. And then even during this election, well people think maybe he’s distanced himself from that since then, no, during the election period, he actually defended the phrase globalize the ada. He sees no problem with that. He defended that. And then he also publicly stated, he was asked, Hey, if Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu comes to New York City, will you welcome him? He said, no, I’m going to arrest him. So if he becomes Mayor Netanyahu goes to New York, Netanyahu will be arrested.

Sam Rohrer:

And ladies and gentlemen, and I don’t know if Michael did I lose you, ladies and gentlemen, I’m here. Okay, you’re still there. So anyway, we’re just about at the break, but he, he’s an antisemite. He obviously, because he is Muslim, because of the Palestinian part, and he said he would arrest Benjamin Netanyahu. He is the height of and the reflection of the Iranians of the day, the Hezbollah of the day, all of the Hamas of the day. He’s one of them by everything that he said and done. Is that not correct?

Michael Snyder:

Oh, very much so. And you have to remember, this is one of the cities with one of the largest Jewish populations in the entire world. And so Jewish organizations are now saying, Hey, if this guy wins, we’re going to have to get out because this guy, he literally hates us. He’s literally a pro-Palestinian radical. And so literally Jewish organizations have already been saying, it’s time to leave New York City so we can actually see a large portion of the Jewish population in New York City go back to Israel if this guy wins, because there will be such a shift in a pro-Palestinian direction.

Sam Rohrer:

And ladies and gentlemen, just think about that. Now again, nobody gets raised up, nobody gets put down except God does it. Well, maybe, maybe who knows what’s going to take place, but this is a big event, will give implications of this in the last second. Stay with us. Alright, Michael, let’s go from that point of where we were talking about the individual that just won the New York City mayoral election. Now, obviously, as I said, he got 43%, there’s another step he’s going to have to go through, but Andrew Cuomo, who was the second one who everybody expected to win but did not win, has already called. He’s already thanked him.

And unless something of something totally unpredictable, nature is this guy will take the Democrat primary, he will be in the fall in New York City. By the nature of what it is, very, very unlikely that they would elect a Republican. So this is a big deal. Now, wouldn’t let that behind. That was one article that you wrote. It was a very good one on that one. And people can find that article in all these others to which we’ve referred at your website, Michael T. Snyder dot substack.com. But let’s go a different direction here. Now, things that people should know as we highlight Michael so often on this program, and for your listener, if you listen to me, we do this all the time. We highlight issues of importance because Jesus in part warned his disciples and us today that deception. And Michael, you referred to that in the first segment, that deception would be the leading mark of our days.

So we need to think about that and always say when we hear something, see something, okay, that’s emanating from the world. The world is led by the deceiver. We are in days of deception. So therefore what I am hearing and seeing is most likely, well at least partially deception and sometimes that makes it the worst. A little bit of truth, but a lot of lies. And that being the case, and we’ve witnessed that in enormous ways, particularly well before COVID, but certainly during and after as a result of the COVID deception and what deception, it was costly. But when in such days that we are living now, deception is designed by its nature to naturally distort reality. It’s what deception is to brainwash, to bring people to the point of believing that something is true when it is not to fear something which we should not fear to give up things like freedom, which are valuable in exchange for the perception of security, but deception above all things provides distractions.

The devil does that. Distractions often geared to cause good people to overlook those which are the most important things, and to become consumed with that which is of lesser importance or frankly no importance at all. Now that is deception. Those are the days in which we live. So we have to say, how do we approach these? Michael, you just wrote an article that highlights an area about which you’ve talked much and it’s in the area of economics, the US and the global economy. And we know that when it comes to numbers, not numbers are twisted. They can be adjusted, they can be colored by both parties and office. They do that all the time by administrations for a long time in Washington. They can bend numbers, they can distort numbers, they can promise things that will never happen in our current time with the president’s emphasis on Make America great again, frankly, people need to know that greatness there is primarily linked to economic greatness.

So the deal making and the business dealings are all geared to economic gain where frankly in the end we know a few people will be big winners, but all people are told everything is going to be good and getting better. That’s what we have heard for how long. That’s what politicians do. But we know that that’s not the truth. Well, if for any other reasons our debt and our spending continues to grow unabated, our national interest payments and the debt have just crossed a trillion dollars a year, mark, that’s death. I mean, that’s terrible. So you wrote an article yesterday, 11 signs that the entire country is facing enormous economic challenges. Let’s start and go down like we did in the last one. What are the top three challenges, perhaps Michael, that we are facing at a nation as a nation right now that have been shoved to the side, overshadowed by these other events we’ve been talking about?

Michael Snyder:

Well, let’s start by talking about the housing market, because during the Biden administration, horrible cost of living, crisis, inflation, grocery prices, everything going up. And so the Federal Reserve raised interest rates a lot higher in order to try to get inflation under control. But we knew that was going to have a tremendous impact on the housing market because you raise interest rates quite a bit. All of a sudden housing becomes a lot more unaffordable. People can’t afford to buy homes, people can’t afford to sell their homes, then they’d have to buy a new one at a much higher interest rate. So what has kind of put a deep freeze on the housing market, the housing market has kind of been in a depressed state for an extended period of time now, and it continues. In fact, the latest numbers show this sales of new homes in the United States absolutely tanked last month.

Last month they were down 13.7% from the previous month. So the sales of new homes just continue to crater. Meanwhile, sales of existing homes last month, it was the worst that we’ve seen during the month of May since 2009. And we’re really returning to those great recession levels in terms of home sales, in terms of the housing market. And of course, what did we see in 2008 and 2009? We saw home prices start to go down, and that’s starting to happen. We knew that would happen, and we’ve seen the turning point now for two months in a row, two months in a row, home prices in the United States have fallen. So we’re starting to see them go down, particularly in bubble markets. And for example, in Florida, we’re really seeing home prices starting to plummet and some of the other bubble markets around the country. And so that should be alarming to a lot of people too, because we could soon see a lot of people underwater on their mortgages if this trend continues. So the housing market, everyone employed by it, everyone that makes a living from it, it’s a really, really hard time for real estate agents, Sam, anyone that is involved in the housing market, it’s a really hard time right now.

Sam Rohrer:

Alright, let’s move from there because that affects, well, not everybody’s looking for a house. Not everybody’s looking to sell a house, so that doesn’t affect everybody. But retail sales, that’s always a number to look at too. That’s affecting other people. What about that? And then give us a few other of these factors, challenges that are facing us.

Michael Snyder:

Yeah, retail sales in the United States, it was expected that they would be down last month they were down even more than expected. So that was kind of a big surprise. Meanwhile, the labor market, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York has come out and said, Hey, the labor market, and this is their phrase, deteriorated noticeably during the first quarter of 2025. So we’re seeing people get laid off. According to Challenger Gray and Christmas, US employers announced 47% more job cuts in May, 2025 last month than they did in May, 2024. And then for the first five months of this year for 2025, so far US employers have announced 80% more job cuts during these five months than they did during the first five months of 2024. So we’re seeing a lot more layoffs, Sam, this year so far than we did last year. And in my article, I go on to talk about some of the companies that are laying people off.

You got Paramount laying off more than 3% of their workforce. You got Microsoft making cutting jobs in their gaming division for the fourth time in just 18 months. We’ve got Google, even Google, who’s supposedly prospering. They’re offering buyouts to large numbers of employees. So we’re seeing layoffs, we’re seeing factories shut down in California. I talked about that in the article. We’re seeing people lose their jobs right now, Sam. And meanwhile, a recent survey found that 70% of Americans say that they’re the most financially stressed that they’ve ever been in their entire lives. So economic conditions are really hard out there. If someone’s listening, if people are listening and they’re saying, man, I’m going through a really hard time in this economy right now, you’re not alone. Many, many others. So much of the country is really, really hurting right now, Sam. And hopefully things can turn around. People have hope for President Trump and what he’s trying to do, but right now things are,

Sam Rohrer:

They’re tough. We’ve got about a minute and so left here, but comment on this, Michael, again, as I said earlier, I mean when I was in office, I was on appropriations committee for a long time. I dealt with numbers. You deal with numbers your whole life, numbers can be twisted, numbers can be delayed. So I mean delayed. But why is it that you think that in these days there is so little of the information that you’ve just shared, which is reality being shared? How is that possible?

Michael Snyder:

Well, ultimately the news on the right wants to make things sound good, to support the Republicans. News on the left wants to attack. So much of it has been politicized in terms of this. But I believe that we need to just look at all these things objectively so we can make wise decisions. And in terms of the government, they’ve spent so much money, they’ve pumped so much money into the economy over the last several decades, but now we’re at a major debt crisis. So now there’s a limit in terms of the help they’re going to be able to give the economy moving forward.

Sam Rohrer:

So artificial growth for a long period of time because it was borrowed money that was being spent. But Michael, it’s like one of those things. There are always consequences to actions and certainly that’s in part what we’re witnessing come due right now. These are the consequences of past excesses, aren’t they? Not?

Michael Snyder:

Oh, absolutely. When Barack Obama entered the White House, we were about $10 trillion in debt on the federal level today, 36 trillion approximately. So we’ve added approximately $26 trillion of debt over that time. And all that money got into the economy, got into people’s pockets, people got paychecks, people got grants and all that. And so it pumped up our economy to an artificial level that we did not deserve, that we did not earn. But now the government’s drowning in debt and they’re like, oh man, we got to start cutting somewhere.

Sam Rohrer:

Okay, ladies and gentlemen. So there are consequences, and that’s part of how we’re going to in the next segment, say, based on all of these things, what can we expect in looking ahead? Well, as we go into our final segment now, we’re going to try and kind of put some of all the items we talked about today together from the standpoint of saying, well, as we talked about, both my guest, Michael Snyder and myself both made the comments that not in our lifetimes have we seen so many big events. Global makes a lot of it different. But with digital communication, everybody’s got a phone in their hand, more or less. That information, whatever it is, can be instantaneously known all at one time in matters of seconds or around the world. That changes a lot of things. That’s part of what we’re talking about. Everybody becomes aware of.

Well, if it’s a lie, everybody has lied to all at once. If the truth comes out, maybe everybody can see it at once. But anyways, let that being the case looking ahead. These things that Michael, you write about and we talk about oftentimes here are even like the stand the gap minute spot that just played with about warnings, because biblical warnings and alerts, they do no good if ignored. They’re also useless. If there is no plan of action or the plan of action is put off to another day, there’s a warning that the tornado’s going to come and you say, ah, well, I’ll prepare for it tomorrow. It’ll be too late. So there’s a time to act on all things that are true warnings from God’s perspective. Biblical warnings revolve most of the time a oncoming judgment of some type because of God’s justice and it’s foretold in terms of prophecy.

So much of biblical prophecy has to do with judgment that will come, consequences that will come. There are laws in scripture, principles that reaping and sowing, nobody gets around them. Choices have consequences when it comes to nations. When a nation forgets God in pride, always in pride, has no fear of God, and then rejects God’s requirements for blessing, God has made it clear in place like Deuteronomy 28, many places that God who is the only giver of blessing, source of blessing, will turn that into judgment. And in Deuteronomy 28, particularly to go ahead and read that chapter, good weather will become destructive. Weather, good health will become poor health. Plenty of food will become scarcity of food. Wealth will become disappears out the window, inflation eats it up. As an example, instead of being a lender nation, you become a debtor nation. National respect becomes national scorn and so forth.

It’s all spelled out right there. It’s good to go to look at it. Security becomes insecurity. Confidence becomes fear. Safety devolves into the enemy, rising up from within, which is interesting, and where they become the hit. All those things I just said are right off the pages of scriptures. Now, Michael, in this concept of warning and response, where we are in this segment, I’ve given some basic principles, but from your perspective, what fundamental underlying factors are at play and all those who have ears to hear, nice to see, need to keep in mind. We look at what’s happening now and what will or will likely soon unfold. Give some other guiding principles, please.

Michael Snyder:

Yes, Sam. Everything that we’ve talked about today, and ultimately the things that we’ve talked about on all the times I’ve been with you, so many of them are symptoms of one underlying cause, and that is sin. When a society turns against God, as you described, there are consequences. If we do what is right, we will be blessed. If we do what is wrong, we will be cursed. And America has been turned against God, been racing towards sin for a very long time. You look at abortion since 1973, more than 60 million American children have been slaughtered their blood crying out from the ground for justice. Well, then we overturned Roe versus Wade. But then the number of abortions in this country went up, and it’s expected to go even higher this year. And of course, we’ve been the number one promoter of abortion around the world.

And since 19 73, 1 0.5 billion children have been aborted globally, worldwide and unprecedented slaughter in all of human history. And that blood, that sin is crying out for judgment, of course. And that alone would be enough for literal, sadly, for our nation to be destroyed because of the sin that has happened and continues to happen just of abortion. But then you look at every other form of evil, and that’s exploding in our society today. Virtually everything that the Bible says don’t do, we’re doing and we want to do even more. And you look at something like gay marriage, which really isn’t even a political issue anymore. It’s just been accepted. Most people don’t even have a problem with it anymore. But gay marriage. And then we moved onto the trans rights, we moved deeper into all these things. Today, the highest percentage of Americans than ever identify as LGBTQ plus and whatever other initials they want to use.

But we’ve got sexual immorality everywhere, not just in society, but in the church. In the church we’ve got some type of scandal, erupting, almost constantly. Some new leader has fallen, some new scandal has erupted, often involving some type of sexual thing. But I’m just touching on the tip of the iceberg, Sam. But nobody can deny that America has fallen into great sin. And it’s not just one type of sin. And if we stay on the path that we are on and we don’t repent, which means not changing our mind, but changing our actions, changing our behavior, that judgment is coming. Some believe judgment has already begun, and we’re seeing chaos erupting all around us. And so many of us are trying to sound the alarm because we need to repent as a nation. We need to turn it back to God as individuals. We need to turn back to God.

Sam Rohrer:

We do, because greatness as a nation, Lord tells us, Michael, as you know so well, greatness. God says, I alone will make you great, and I will make you great as a nation. If you do two things, you fear me and you keep my commandments. And that is the entire context of what scripture talks about. And that was given to Israel, that applies to us as a nation that was founded on a parallel to Israel by our founders and following biblical principles. But as you say, that has been totally put to the side. And now greatness is at the hands of public policy, or greatness comes as a tax cut, or greatness comes as an applied artificial intelligence to increase efficiency or greatness comes. But it’s not the greatness that God talks about that only he gives. And so that’s a critical thing in the final minute and a half here, what do we have personally? Most of the things we’ve talked about individuals cannot impact. We cannot impact public policy that’s happening around the world or fed policy or anything like that. But how should people personally respond in that area that they do and can control?

Michael Snyder:

Well, God is not telling us all these things, all the warnings about the end times in the Bible so that we will have fear, but so that we can have peace in the midst of the storm so that we can be wise, make decisions, prepare physically, yes, but most importantly, prepare spiritually. If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and can confess your sins, invite him to be your Lord and Savior today, your sins will be forgiven. You’ll be given eternal life, and you’ll have a great future, amazing future beyond which I even have words to describe. No matter what global events take place. But if you are a believer and you haven’t been living for Christ, recommit your life to Christ today, get right with God and start living for him with all your heart. Because the times in front of us, we really are living in then times that are going to be difficult. But God can bring his people through anything God can. And God put us here for a reason. He’s got a plan for us. He’s got a job for us to do. So these are exciting times to be alive. Yes, difficult times, but exciting times to be alive. But the only way we’re going to make it through what’s ahead if we turn to him with all of our hearts,

Sam Rohrer:

There we go, Michael. And that is a tremendous challenge at the end because ladies and gentlemen, at the end of the day, that is why Jesus came. That is what the scripture is all about. And that hope that was just shared is all of ours today. Let us leave this program with hope, with fervor, with boldness, and with a commitment to the truth to live it out in our own life. Thanks for being with us today, Michael Snyder. Thank you always for being with us.
