Sam Rohrer:

Hello and welcome to this Wednesday edition of Stand In the Gap Today. And it’s also my monthly emphasis and our focus on Israel, the Middle East and biblical prophecy. Now, my special and recurring guest today is again, Dr. Carl Broggi. He’s the senior pastor of Community Bible Church in Beaufort, South Carolina in he hostess own radio program entitled Search the Scriptures, A lot of information on that site. You can find search the scriptures.org, and I’ll give that again throughout the program today. But there are many directions that we could go today on this program considering the fact, well, I’ll just give you a couple of examples. For instance, the fact that potential for massive regional war, perhaps with global implications could erupt at any time in the Middle East. Some now sang within 48 hours. Well, we’ll find out. I don’t know. But the fact that President Trump has ordered a third aircraft carrier with its escort ships and planes and submarines to the Middle East is more than significant.

The fact that Russia and China have been equipping Iran with technology and military equipment and have warned the United States from any action is also significant. And the fact just a couple days ago, the Taliban, the Taliban, of course with access to all of the 80 some billion dollars worth of US military equipment, remember that was left on the ground when the US vacated Afghanistan. They have said they will pledge their full support to whatever extent that is to Iran against the United States. That’s significant, but this emphasis will be for another day. We’re not going to deal with that. But I’m just saying a lot of things when you looked at Middle East, we could cover. Here’s another one. The fact that United Nations sanctioned Trump, Kushner Gaza Board of Peace continues to develop and take on near Prophetical implications is a place we could also go.

We’re not going to go there either though, but I just gave this to us illustrations. However, in pre-discussion between myself and Dr. Broggi considering relevant themes, we decided to pursue a more full consideration of the rise in antisemitism. Generally that is occurring not just within the United States, although it’s definitely visible here, but also globally what it is, why it is, and what it means prophetically. So the title I’ve chosen to frame today’s conversation is this antisemitism and the end times the Prophetical Significance. And with that, I welcome to the program again, Dr. Carl Bruge. Carl, thanks for being back with me today.

Carl Broggi:

Thank you, Sam, for having me today. I’m looking forward to discussing this issue, the rise of antisemitism and how we recognize it, confront it is hatred towards Jewish people.

Sam Rohrer:

Well, let’s get right into it because we’ve done pieces of this on past programs. I have, you and I have talked about slices of it. I’ve done it with other guests, but today, let’s try and deal with this reality in a bit more of a comprehensive fashion. So let’s do this. Let’s just start at the beginning. Let’s define the terms, which I think is one of the most important first steps ever to be made when talking about an issue because we live in a world where terms are being redefined all the time. The world system is doing that. The devil loves to do that demonically, subverting truth. So let’s get on the same page. In short, how would you define antisemitism and from your perspective, illustrate perhaps what it is and maybe what it’s not?

Carl Broggi:

Well, Sam very simply said, it’s a hatred towards the Jewish people. Someone who is a physical descendant of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And in my view, the root causes are spiritual and satanic, not just human and social. Satan has always wanted to eradicate the Jewish people because God’s program for the human race comes through the Jewish nation. And more recently in the 1970s, I think it was a guy, a Jewish guy, foster and Epstein, two guys, they wrote a book called The New Antisemitism and they added a new flake to it, namely that the Jewish state along with the Jewish people that is the right of the Jewish people to inherit the land that God promised also being an expression of antisemitism. And I would sadly, I would agree with that. It’s sad though that many even evangelical Christians today don’t either recognize the uniqueness of the Jewish people or the modern state of Israel. A lot don’t think it’s any different from Mexico or Japan, but it’s mentioned in the Old Testament about 3,500 times in about 70 times in the New Testament.

Sam Rohrer:

And Carl, we’ll get into some nuances on this because this is where it gets confusing for a lot of people. So let me go a little bit further here because in our day people throw around explosive terms like racist or conspiratorial list or supremacist or Nazi or antisemitic as in that category. And it’s done as a strategy to divide or to create hatred between one side or another. And this strategy requires, I think, great wisdom even on the part of true Bible believers as to not get caught up in this, what I’m going to term as a divisive political strategy. And some make a distinction, some out there make a distinction from being, for instance, anti-Israeli government policy or maybe anti Netanyahu is the prime Minister, for example, but they insist they are not anti-Jewish. Some believe Israel has no right to exist. And you mentioned exist as a nation, but they claim that they are not antisemitic. So in the end, Carl, if viewed from God’s perspective that the issue may not be so much about antisemitism, perhaps as the spirit of maybe antichrist and anti God’s redemptive plan perhaps. So from a biblical perspective, could you cite some principles that you can identify that will help to define when antisemitism is actually present?

Carl Broggi:

Yeah, that’s a fantastic question. And by no means are we saying that it is necessarily wrong to criticize a government any more than I am red, white and blue in my blood. But there are times when I have to speak out as a believer against the US government. But there’s a difference between maybe a debate in policy or how things should unfold and what the Jewish people stand for and what the land stands for. So some red flags I would say. One is if you treat a Jewish people as inherently evil or inferior or unworthy of respect beyond a shadow of a doubt, that is an antisemitic behavior. And God warns in Genesis how, bless those who bless you, speaking of the nation of Israel, the people of Israel, whoever curses you, I will curse. I would say another expression today would be when you reject or you mock God’s covenant that God made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Paul reminds us even as Gentiles in the church that we should have a spirit of humility towards the Jews. They’re the root we are grafted in. And he reminds us as God rejected his people. Israel, may it never be. And then he’ll go on at the end of that chapter, Romans 1129, where he says the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. So God is going to keep his promises. And when someone begins to say, Israel is no more significant than you, Uganda or Mexico or China, they are moving into that realm, collective blame or guilt towards the Jews. It’s all their problems, all their problems in the world today. It’s Jewish rooted. These are all expressions of antisemitism.

Sam Rohrer:

Okay, thank you so much Carl. Ladies and gentlemen, stay with us if you just tuning in. Our theme today is this antisemitism defined and identified, and we’re going to talk going into it next here, what it is and what it’s not. We just dealt with that. Dr. Carl Broggi is my guest and we’ll be back now in just a moment. All right, if you’re just joining us today, this is our bimonthly emphasis on Israel, the Middle East and biblical prophecy. And today Dr. Carl Broggi is back with me and so glad that he is. He has a website where he has his own podcast and a lot of information here. I give it to you again, search to the scriptures.org. But our theme today is this, it is antisemitism and the end, the times, the prophetical significance that helped to guide our discussion. You’ll see where we’re going, Carl, let’s move now.

You’ve defined it in the last segment, gave a couple of principles, help people cut through the clutter of today because the word antisemite is thrown around almost like Nazi or supremacist or whatever they’re words that are used by people who oftentimes don’t even know what they mean, but they are used to divide and to create hatred and all of that. So it’s important to understand, particularly for believers to understand because of the connection to biblical truth and prophecy. So let’s go a little bit further on that. Now. Let’s approach this issue. We’re kind of building it from the bottom up, laying the foundation of the definition and so forth. But if you were to identify, say, the most fundamental cause, the root cause, the fundamental cause of antisemitism, what would you identify that to be? Let’s just start there first.

Carl Broggi:

Yeah, I would say in one word the evil one Satan. And when you understand his strategy and the Bible says we’re not to be ignorant of his schemes as it relates to his first coming, then we can see what he’s doing now as it relates to return of Christ. It’s not by accident Cain murders Abel. Why? Because Abel is going to bring the messianic line. Of course, Seth takes his place. The New Testament tells us that Cain was of the evil, one of the devil. Satan tries to corrupt the human race. So Messiah can’t come. Genesis six, the Benet Elohim, sons of God marry the Daughters of men. New Testament commentary underscoring that those are angels interfacing with women. Pharaoh wants every baby boy destroyed Exodus one, Athelia because by her time in human history, queen Athaliah God had narrowed the tribe to Judahs. So she has every boy in the tribe as at least she thought of Judah murdered Haman.

He comes along, he wants to destroy all the Jews. Jesus finally comes into the world and King Herod wants Jesus killed. Now in Matthew two, we get this story of Herod’s killing merely from a human perspective, but God later gives us divine commentary in Revelation 12. And he gives us the same story from a different angle. And he tells us that behind Herod was the devil himself prompting him. So it wasn’t just his flesh coming up with this idea, but Satan was working through his fallen sinful nature. And so all the way through scripture in even when Jesus begins his public ministry, it’s opposition, you find the temptation to jump, not the temptation, the attempted murder to throw him over a cliff there in Nazareth. Satan wants to destroy him at his temptation. They try to stone him on a couple occasions. Failure, failure, failure, failure.

And so Jesus has sensed to heaven, but now he’s coming back. And so Satan knows there’s a day coming. The prophet spoke of it. The revelation says the kingdom of this world, which is currently run by Satan, he’s the small G of this world, will become the kingdom of our God and of his Christ and it’ll reign forever and ever. So Satan’s wisdom is corrupted If he can stop that, slow it down. Some think he’s trying to totally stop it. Maybe he’s that stupid. I think he’s just trying to delay it and he knows that for Jesus to return into rule, Jesus said in Matthew 2339, for I say to you, you being the Jewish people to whom he’s addressing from now on, you will not see me until you say blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. So it’s not until the Jews are converted that Jesus is going to literally physically return at the second coming. So Satan’s trying to stop that. And so behind this spirit of antisemitism, if there’s no Jews left or so, a few Jews, then it keeps delaying the coming kingdom and Satan can continue to rule and he won’t be ultimately yet thrown into the eternal wake of fire.

Sam Rohrer:

Okay? So at the end of the day, the most foundational reason motivation for antisemitism and we’ve defined that is the devil himself who opposes God. So the ultimate conflict is God versus the devil. When God comes back in Genesis three 15 and promises a way to redeem mankind and to bridge that gap, ultimately Yeshua Messiah coming as you described, the devil has been working to oppose that all the way through time. So you’ve cited, he’s used human rulers, civil government leaders from a pharaoh to a Herod to a Hitler as far as that goes. But all of those who seek that kind of thing. But the devil himself being the master deceiver has also not just tried to work through civil leaders, civil government leaders, but he’s also infiltrated even the church, we’d put it that way. The religious leaders of the past as well follow down that track and build that out just a bit.

Carl Broggi:

Initially the church is a hundred percent Jewish, but it gradually changes. The Jews begin to die out. They become a minority as the scripture foretold and it becomes largely gentile. And so gentile leadership around the third century began to accuse the Jews of being Christ killer. So you’ve got UUs and he said the church is narrow, the true Israel and God’s done with Israel. Chris Sodom, he lives about 375 to 400 where he’s preaching. He says, the Jews are murderers possessed by the devil. Then you’ve got Augustine, who around 400, he lays the groundwork that is going to be followed for centuries to come. He really becomes the father of determinism. That is election. I’m preaching on that tonight. What it really means to be elected of God and not the nonsense of our day, but how it’s not the nation of Israel that’s elected it’s individuals.

And so he said the Jews should be slain with a two-edged sword. I mean some vicious, vicious things. You come into the Roman church, Gregory the ninth says awful things about the Jews. Pope Pius in the 15 hundreds awful things. Then you’ve got guys like Luther. He says their synagogues in schools should be burned, their house is destroyed, their Talmud’s confiscated. The rabbi should be forbidden to teach their money should be taken away from them. They should be compelled into forced labor. I’m just paraphrasing what he exactly said. And Hitler of course comes on the scene and he said that he gave this famous speech that you can read. He said, I’m acting in accordance with the will of Almighty God. And then in that speech he says, Luther was a great man. He saw clearly that the Jews need to be destroyed. And of course those who were in the Nuremberg trials defended themselves by saying, I never said anything that Martin Luther himself didn’t say.

John Calvin, he calls the Jews a rotten and unbending, stiff necked people who deserve to be habitually oppressed. Pope pious during World War ii. He opposed the Jewish homeland Pope Paul II. And the second Vatican council specifically said, and I remember it from memory, the church is now the new people of God. And then as recently as 2010 and that special senate of bishops, they again discounted Israel and they said, quote, they are no longer God’s chosen people. When you have this in reformers who come out of it and people who maybe don’t say the same things in the same way, but a lot of their replacement theology sticks to their feet through guys like Piper. And Piper loves the Lord and RC Sprole, but they think that the church has replace the Israel. And because of their failure to teach what is right, you create this vacuum for a spirit of antisemitism. So when guys like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens come along and they speak these tropes against the Jewish people and borderline antisemitism, though people would say they’re not. Some would say there definitely are. People embrace this kind of thinking because they’re untaught in the scripture. So the church is also responsible. Satan often has a means and he uses people. I think that’s largely what’s unfolding in our day.

Sam Rohrer:

Alright, we don’t have much time left here, but you’ve already kind of mentioned it, but that brings it from history. There’s this foundation that you’ve talked about, it’s existed in evil civil rulers. It has existed in untaught or God rejecting antichrist mentality within certain religious rulers. If it were today, if you’re looking at it now, bring it up right up to today. What is the most significant driving motivators right now behind antisemitism? I

Carl Broggi:

Would say what we call super secessionism, which is a fancy term to say that the church has superseded Israel, that the church is the new Israel. Though the term appears some 70 times in the New Testament, once of the land, the rest of the people of Israel, God’s not done with Israel. But because this idea of election that Romans nine, 10 and 11 is not dealing with the Jew, but with personal election, God choosing people in eternity past some to be expressions of his grace, others to display his wrath. And you start with that premise, then you’re going to look at the Jewish people through a set of rose colored glasses and you’re going to reject any future for them. And when you reject the future for them, you’re really denying some clear promises God made in a unilateral covenant with Abraham in Genesis 15. And that’s Paul’s argument in Romans nine through 11 as he closes eight with nothing can separate us from the love of God. The obvious question is what about the Jew? And his point is, if God can’t be faithful to the Jew, what makes you think he can be faithful to you?

And he’s going to show that in spite of their rejection, there’s coming a time when they’ll call upon Yeshua and salvation.

Sam Rohrer:

Okay ladies and gentlemen, I hope that you’re enjoying and learning from this progression because we’re going to move from now where we are, the fact that the devil is behind ultimately, but he’s involved religious leaders and denominations and civil leaders. Now what does the Bible say prophetically about these things that have happened and what is yet to perhaps happen? We’re going to focus now on antisemitism and the prophetical significance. Alright, Carl, if we can, let’s move now into the area of the prophetical you’ve provided. We’ve talked about the definition of antisemitism, connected it ultimately to the cause of that only taking it back to the devil against God and God’s plan itself. And you’ve cited some historical evidence of civil government leaders like Pharaoh of old to Haman and Persia to Herod at the time of Christ to Hitler. And all that has happened through time.

I think people understand that. And then we talked a bit about the religious leaders, how religious leaders, when the church began, began to introduce this thought that we now call super secessionism or replacement theology that says that God’s done with Israel and that the church replaces it and therefore these are factors that fuel and augment each other to basically say that Israel has no reason to be, we don’t need to support anything about them because God’s done with them. You talked about that in the last segment, but that does move us into the whole prophetical aspect because the scripture is all about God’s plan of redemption and about things that will happen have happened that will yet happen as a part of God’s plan of redemption that you’ve made very, very clear the devil wants to try either slow down or prevent. So that being the case from a prophetical perspective, what does scripture foretell about this rise of antisemitism that we’re talking about and in several terms, and I throw it in here as well, you cited things throughout history is the rise of antisemitism now in the day in which we live different than does scripture speak to this time now specifically in simple terms, what is the prophetical significance of what we are seeing today?

Carl Broggi:

Yeah, wow. Well, Satan has always been against the Jewish people wherever they live on the face of the planet. What is different, however today is that as God predicted, Moses spoke in Deuteronomy 28 through 30 that at the end of time God would gather the Jews from across the world and Jesus particularly spoke of their scattering to the four corners of the world as Moses did. Though Moses never said when the scattering would happen, just that there would be a regathering. Well, the scattering happened after 70 AD and they’re out of the land for 1900 years now they’re all in one place and because they’re all in one place, it’s like you’ve got a single shot at all these people. And the scripture for tells this rise in antisemitism for the final prophetic plan to be literally fulfilled. The Jews have to be in the land.

That’s what has to happen. And of course if you just literally plainly grammatically historically inconsistently interpret the Bible, that’s the only conclusion you can come up to. We’re in a discussion just a few weeks ago in my staff meeting and we’re talking about Jesus planting his feet on the Mount of Olives. Sam, there’s 10 interpretations to that through those in reformed Calvinistic theology because they can’t apply a literal interpretation to the scripture, so they have to allegorize it. So one guy says it means, well this is him dividing the Old Testament from the New Testament. This is God breaking hearts. Now the reader is an authority over what the scripture means instead of letting it plainly says what it says that Christ is going to step on the Mount of olives and split it into. And so I say all this to say that the anti-Semitic spirits prophesied in scripture as it relates to the Jews being back in the land.

Jesus said in the all of that discourse, they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you and you’ll be hated by all nations. For my name’s sake. He’s largely highlighting there the Jewish people and this antagonism during the time of Jacob’s trouble, what we call the great tribulation. Zechariah looks down the Carters of time all the way to the second coming of Messiah. And in Zacharia 12 he says, God declares that Jerusalem will become a cop of trembling for all the nations and many will rise against it. And of course, revelation 19 tells us it paints his picture in Armageddon where all the nations of the world will someday oppose Israel. That’s going to be in the final seven years of human history before the millennial reign of Messiah begins. Ezekiel 38 and 39 speak of this coming coalition of nations. And there God says that thoughts will come into your mind and you’ll devise an evil plan against my people, Israel.

And of course you’ve got nations like Russia, Iran or Old Testament, Persia, same country, Turkey and a few others, and they’re all going to oppose Israel. And yet you see this very thing happening. I mean my eyes are wide open even if Trump were to bomb Iran into the ground. The fact is is that God is still going to use them largely through the leadership of Russia. So we’re living in a time that is foretold by scripture. There’s a partial hardening upon Israel, but someday the full after the fullness of the Gentiles who have come in Israel is going to turn to Jesus and be saved. And so that’s what it’s speaks of.

Sam Rohrer:

Okay, let’s take that a little bit further. The scripture also refers to, and again it helps people understand that though there is a regathering that we’ve talked about. There is a nation of Israel there now it’s clear that’s what we’re talking about. They are not all regathered. There’s a lot still left scattered around the world, but they’re there, they’re back. There are living among some of the Jews over there, some who have acknowledged Messiah, Yeshua generally we call them Messianic Jews. They would believe that Yeshua has come, there would be Orthodox and others who are very religious. They’re concerned about a new temple perhaps and sacrifice. And so they’re kind of going that direction, but they’re not yet there in the scripture refers to that they’re there in yet unbelief. That is part of what I think causes some confusion for even Christian people to say, Hey, look, they still reject Jesus, so therefore God is still rejecting them. Clarify some of that. So we understand the timing, the end of the Gentiles, the Jews, regathered yet an unbelief, but yet God’s promise is really I number of questions I’m asking when we look at all of these complicating factors, and it’s hard for people to say, I have no idea how it’s really going to work out other than going to scripture and where God says it is going to work out. The focus is really on God’s completed plan of redemption at the end of the day, isn’t it?

Carl Broggi:

That’s right. Well for instance, Ezekiel says, for I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the lands and bring you into your own land. So the Bible, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, every prophet speaks on Israel in the coming kingdom with the exception of Jonah. But every prophet speaks about their regathering. So first he has to physically regather them and that’s what he says. And then he says, after I bring you into your land, then then I will sprinkle clean water on you and you’ll be clean and I’ll cleanse you from all the filthiness and from all your idols, I’ll give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I’ll put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes. These are quoted in the New Testament Christians today because we’re grafting and experienced this new covenant, we are reminded every time we celebrate the Lord’s table that that is what Jesus enacted, a new testament, a new covenant, a new deal there on Calvary.

And so that is yet to happen to Israel. And so then in the next chapter, the 37th chapter, he speaks of this regathering of bones, but then life is breathed into him. When is that going to happen? After the church is removed, it’s called the 70th week of Daniel’s prophecy. There is going to be a worldwide movement of conversion of the Jewish people such that Paul can say in a general sense, all Israel will be saved. It’s going to be remarkable. So yes, they’re in the land today. They’re very secular, many are very liberal, God hating it seems. But that is going to change in the future because kind of like nine 11, a lot of people get serious with God. The Jews are going to get real serious with God when the tribulation period starts. God will use suffering to get their attention and they’ll have ears to hear the gospel.

Sam Rohrer:

And in reality, from a iCal perspective, again, we don’t have much time left here, but in part, not exclusively, but in part the seven year tribulation period, also called the time of Jacob’s. Trouble is part of God’s prophetic plan as the means to bring his people back to that point of nine 11, as you suggested, right?

Carl Broggi:

Absolutely. So it’s not like God is up in heaven and enjoying the wrath that is being poured upon the earth. He is going to use it as an instrument to bring gentiles to Christ. John sees in Revelation six is massive amount of Gentiles compared to the sands of the seashore are converted how through the preaching of Jewish men through the preaching of two witnesses. So I take to be Elijah and Moses though I wouldn’t start a denomination over it and even an angel who will preach the gospel. So God will use the hard times as a final wakeup call before he ushers in the reign of the Messiah. So yeah, the days we’re living in shouldn’t cause fear in our hearts. It should bring us hope. It’s a reminder that God’s in control, that what he wrote of thousands of years ago are actually being fulfilled precisely as he said it would be fulfilled, which is a reminder to us who are members of the body of Christ, that the rapture that takes place first is all that much closer. We are moving very quickly towards that final time in human history when Christ will come and catch up his people.

Sam Rohrer:

And ladies and gentlemen, I hope, and again, if you’re listening to this program today, chances are you listen to it pretty regularly. We deal with this and we have since the inception of this program. And the reason that we bimonthly every other Wednesday deal with Israel and the Middle East and biblical prophecy is that all of the things that we’re talking about right now should take our interest and our excitement and our anticipation back to what God says will happen. That’s the prophetical part and it focuses on Israel in the Middle East because that is part of what God says and it should cause us to be far more aggressive in our declaring of the gospel. Certainly not running in fear. We’ll come back, we will wrap this up with concluding thought here. Well, Carls, we go into a final segment here today and provide some summary thoughts to really comprehensive approach I think to the matter of antisemitism.

I would like to do this in the first segment. I ask you to identify a couple of principles or some principles which you had time to do too that would help the person, the true believer, the person who truly is a child of God, who fears God and recognizes scripture as fully authoritative. That person of which it’s a minority by the way that we know. But in cutting through, in being able to ascertain those policies, those thoughts, those statements by people, be they podcasters or politicians or preachers far that, or religious people who would say things. Give me a couple of principles here again of those that would help to guide a person to understand what is truly anti-Semitic. And I’m going to maybe equate to that anti-biblical as well as on the other side. Give a few of those. I think it’s important for us to help to keep these in mind.

Carl Broggi:

Yeah, no, that’s great. Simply said, when you bless Israel, you’re not being antisemitic. When you curse Israel, you are. So what defines a blessing or a cursing to bless Israel is te acknowledge. I think two primarily things. One is that the Jewish people have a right to live and exist on this planet, and there are people who don’t think that way across the planet. Number two, that the piece of property we call Israel today was promised by God. He identifies it as my land, that that is their property and they have every right to it. This does not mean that we can’t say criticize moral issues in Israel. Israel by no means…No Evangelical is saying that there perfect nation, they have like 250,000 people and the biggest L-G-B-T-Q-I-A pride parade in the whole world. But that’s not a reason for doing away with the nation or the people.

I mean the United States of America we’re the poster child for the production of pornography, the illegal drug trade, abortion, international corruption. But nobody wants to destroy us and wipe us off the face of the earth. Russia, China, they’re responsible for more human violation rights than maybe any other nation, two nations in human history. But no one is asking for their annihilation Islamic nations. I mean, look what they do to women. Look what Iran has done. They’ve executed, I don’t know the exact number, somewhere between 20 and 40,000 people, 20,000 conservatively 40,000 in the last two and a half months. No one is saying, well, they don’t have a right to their property, so why should Israel be treated any differently? They shouldn’t. And so as believing Christians, we need to recognize that while we have a moral responsibility to speak for what is right just like we do in this nation and speak out against what is wrong, we are not to say the Jewish people are a depraved, wicked, vile people who should be destroyed and annihilated and that they have no right to that piece of property. And when people start talking like that, they’re messing with God almighty and they’re inviting his judgment.

Sam Rohrer:

Okay? And I think right there, what you said, I just want to emphasize that again, is that when there is an opposition to a promise that God has made his covenant promise to Abraham, the people, his city, Jerusalem, the boundaries you’re talking about at that point, it’s not the Jew who came up with it, it’s God himself. So that’s ultimately what you said at the beginning is it’s ultimately an antichrist spirit of the age. It’s an anti-biblical thing that refutes that which God has promised. I mean anything more to add to that.

Carl Broggi:

So it’s going to crescendo during the 70th week of a prophecy that Daniel makes 70 weeks meaning 70 years. And so because the whole world is going to go against them, they’re going to look for protection. And this man is going to come on the scene who is called the antichrist, the son of perdition, some 30 different titles, the beast in scripture. And he will come with signs, wonders, and miracles, and the world will feign in his presence and he will offer a peace treaty for Israel. And that will start the final seven years of human history. But once that unfolds, you have in Matthew 24, a series of judgments. They’re called the sealed judgments. And so Matthew 24, 4 through 14 perfectly parallels the sealed judgments that will come upon the earth that are described in Revelation. And what will happen among other things is he says they will deliver you to tribulation. He’s talking about the Jewish people and will kill you and you’ll be hated by all the nations because of my name. And at that time, many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and mislead many. And so again, it’s a terrible time in human history and it’s going to be terrible, not just for the Saturday people. It’s going to be terrible for the Sunday people

Because the largest number of Gentiles in church history are going to be one to Yeshua, to Jesus, and they’re going to be executed. John again sees in Revelation six, this mass number of people with the fifth seal who are slaughtered and murdered for following Jesus. And it’s during this time that this gospel of the kingdom will go to the entire world like we’ve never seen before. The great commission will be fulfilled, and then the end meaning the second coming will come. So we’re living in these days that God writes of, and most people, because they’re being influenced by the spirit of antisemitism or they’re biblically ignorant and they’re not being taught well about the future of Israel through replacement theology, super secessionism, they don’t know what’s going on. They’re asleep. And yet God is writing the handwriting on the wall for people who have eyes to understand scripture and believe what God literally said.

Sam Rohrer:

Alright, Carl, two minutes left this question your thoughts. How then should we live as true believers in these days witnessing these things? What should it cause us to think be like an act?

Carl Broggi:

Well, knowing the timeframe in human history that we’re in, it should motivate us all the more to live godly lives and to share the gospel. The sad thing is Sam, as the average Christian, no longer shares his faith. There used to be visitation programs in every church in America. And I’m not saying that’s the only way that you can reach people, but Christians need to literally gossip The gospel is what the word Paul uses to the church of Colossians. We need to be speaking freely, compassionately, praying for open doors of opportunity, praying that when those doors come, that we might make the gospel clear because God is sizing up human history in people in our day who are Christianized, who’ve heard the gospel on some level, they will not have the opportunity to respond during the 70th week of Daniel The great tribulation, the only people who will be able to respond are those people who have not heard the gospel in clarity, in power. The rest, Paul says, we’ll receive a diluting influence because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. So as Christians, we should pray for the peace of Israel, and we should be consistently sharing the good news of God’s love and forgiveness with those people God opens doors for.

Sam Rohrer:

And with that, Dr. Carl Broggi, we’re at the end of the program today. Thank you so very, very, very, very much. What a relevant topic, ladies and gentlemen. I hope that you’ve been helped by this. Now, again, I’m going to give the website again. Dr. Carl Broggi has a website, search the scriptures.org, a lot of information on there. He deals a lot with questions, things that we’ve dealt with here, plus a whole lot more. You can access it there and then our own website here. Stand in the gap radio.com. I would pray that you would consider taking this program, listening to it. Again, there’s a transcript associated with it, use that and then pass it along to a friend. They also, I believe, would benefit from this program today. So thanks for being with us. Dr. Broggi, thank you again for being here. God bless you and your ministry and all that you do there in Beaufort, South Carolina.
