Sam Rohrer:

Hello and welcome to this Monday edition of Stand in the Gap today and stay with us for this entire week. It will be a full week of programming here. So we’ll have a lot of different things, a lot of different programs and emphasis throughout the week as we try in many cases to try to stay up to date on what’s happening in the national and international news headline as most of the week, and when I am focusing on this program in particular, we try to take the headline news of the week and filter it through and look at it through the biblical worldview, that thread of scripture. And that’s what we’re going to do today. And as I’ve talked with many fellow believers over the weekend in my own church yesterday, talked with a number of people. Some would come up and ask questions and some I would approach, we would talk.

But there was one common theme which I heard. And it was this, there’s just so much happening around the world. It seems impossible to stay up on all what’s happening and to know whether it is true or whether it is a lie. That was basically the theme. I think you probably can identify with that because it’s common. And to this conclusion, I totally agree. And I’ve mentioned this sentiment repeatedly on this program because it happens to be undeniably true. We are in a age of confusing communication. Now to my friends and to myself, I have shared this view that in reality, we know these things. We know that Satan himself and his fallen angel cohorts, those that are about in the world that we cannot see, but operate freely, they lie. They continually lie. The devil himself is the father of lie. So they do what their leader is and does, and that is lie.

That’s Satan. They lie and they cause people who are not given to biblical truth and to the word of God. They follow their Father, the devil. Most of the world is in that category. We know biblically. And therefore they are given to deception and to distortion of truth. And what makes it even worse is that these people and those that are the cohorts of the devil himself, they can quote Bible verses and they know the Bible better than we do. So we need to be alert. And except for a person having been indwelled by the Holy Spirit upon genuine salvation by faith in Christ alone, all people will be deceived. So we can be too. We have to be careful. Now in this reality, we know that from scripture and we see around us, it’s the focus of the program today. My returning and special guest is Michael T. Snyder. He’s an attorney, an economist, a publisher of the most important news. And I’ll give his website here in a little bit. And throughout the program, it’s michaeltsnyder.substack.com. But he is an avid producer and publisher of articles many, many a week, all on the issues of the day. But with all the news related to war in the Middle East and other looming conflicts, the historic weather events, not just here in the United States, but around the world, they’re all signs that Jesus gave his disciples and to us to be alert, to be aware of, because they mark the approaching end of the age and the return of Christ. The lights are flashing. Sirens are blaring. Our eyes should be wide open. The title I’ve chosen to frame our conversation to know is this, when prophesied signs converge, stay focused, remain alert. So that’s the emphasis.

And with that, Michael, welcome back to the program. Always good to have you on.

Michael Snyder:

Oh, it’s so good to be with you today, Sam.

Sam Rohrer:

Michael, let’s get right into it. I want to go just from a general perspective here before we go into the specifics of what’s happening in the Middle East wars, rumors of wars, and we talk about weather and some other things in the program. I’d like to start with a reminder of why addressing these converging signs, keywords, signs, converging signs is important and why we as believers must stay focused and remain alert. So throughout the program, that’s what we’re wanting to shore up. Here’s my first question to you. Why do you write as a watchman on the wall? We’ve talked about it before, but it’s a good reminder. Why it’s important to revisit these things like we are today?

Michael Snyder:

Well, that’s a great question, Sam, because some people that look at my work, look at the articles that they write, and I’ve been called the king of doom and gloom. Not really true, but I’ve been called that. And people say, “Michael, all you ever write about is bad news.” And because they’re looking at it from the perspective of the world, but if you look at it from the perspective of the Bible, actually almost all the bad news that is in the headlines is actually good news if you have the proper perspective. But ultimately what I’m trying to do as a watchmen on the wall is to bring glory to God and to point people to God. Ultimately, that brings God glory. But in the book of Isaiah, it says that one of the way that God self authenticates himself, in other words, one of the ways that God shows that he is God is by telling us the end from the beginning.

That’s a phrase we see several times in the book of Isaiah. And so God says, “Hey, you can know I’m the real God because I tell you history in advance.” And that’s what God has done. And that’s what I’m pointing people to in particular to the points, parts of the Bible that tell us our history, the history of our time in advance. So I do this to unbelievers. I have a very large secular audience. My articles are republished on a large number of secular websites, and I love that. As a Christian author, that’s fairly rare to have that opportunity. And the goal is to get secular readers to read the articles and ultimately point them to biblical reality, to point them to the reality that we really are living in the end times. The God of the Bible is real so they can find Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Now I’m also, I have a very large Christian audience as well, of course. And there, instead of trying to get them born again, saved because they’re already born again, I’m trying to get them to wake up and understand the reality. We really are living in the end times. Get right with God, walk with God, live the purpose that God has set before you and get prepared for what’s in front of us. Don’t be afraid of what’s coming, but understand what is coming. Get prepared so that you will be equipped to do what God has called you to do in this hour. Don’t get wrapped up in the world because our home is in heaven and hey, the hour is late. And so let us live as if the hour is late.

Sam Rohrer:

And Michael, that’s great. You bring us right up to the break, but everything that you just said there are the words of scripture because all the way through the New Testament and the Old Testament, what you said is exactly the case. And that’s why we have the word of God in our hand, ladies and gentlemen. And the emphasis, as you know, if you listen to this program at all regularly, know that we start with the word of God. We walk through and filter what is seeing through the pages of scripture and we end up there. Why? Because the God who created us, the beginning and the end, the alpha and the Omega have given us His word and have told us what will come so that we’re not shocked and surprised. So with that being case, stay with us. We’re going to come back. We’re going to begin to walk through and actually walk through some of the signs that Jesus gave his disciples in Matthew 24 in particular, other passages as well.

And so we’ll talk a little bit about deception next and then wars and rumors of wars. Well, if you’re just joining us, welcome aboard today. This is Stand in the Gap today. It’s our second segment. We just did an introduction here. My special guest today is Michael Snyder. He’s an attorney. He’s an economist, publishes a number of different things. The most important news is one. And he has a website at Michael T as in Tom michaeltsnyder.substack.com. He is independent. He’s supported by those who subscribe. And so I have found that, well, when it comes to news in these days, if anybody works for a big organization or works for the government, you can almost bank on the fact that you can’t believe what they’re saying most of the time. You have to really filter it. So the independent individuals such as Michael, they’re an exception to the rule, but they’re very, very important in these days.

Now, my theme today is this when prophesied signs converge, stay focused, remain alert. I’ve referred to it already, but in Matthew chapter 24, and here’s the basis I just want to build today’s program off of in Matthew 24, there’s some other places as well, New Testament that are parallel type passages, but the disciples ask Jesus a question, “What are going to be the signs of your coming in the end of the world?” And so he responded to them. And the first thing he said was, “Don’t be deceived or not allow others to lead you astray, and in fact, the same meaning.” The deception, as we’re seeing today, is very broad. And we’re in those days. It’s broad, it’s deep, it is growing with the help of politicians and journalists who have rejected absolute truth, rejected God. They may say God’s name, but they don’t live by it.

So in practice, they’ve rejected God. They’ve rejected the authority of scripture and they have embraced pragmatism. That’s nearly everybody in government today, nearly all of them. This enhanced deception is growing with the aid of AI, artificial intelligence generated graphics, AI generated reporters actually making up people with faces and they’re talking and their mouths are moving, but they’re not real. AI generated voices. They’ve got a voice. Sounds really great, but it’s not a real voice. It’s not a real person. And AI generated content, actual words in a narrative that sounds great, but not true. And within this rising wave of deception, Jesus said in Matthew 24 that there would be a corresponding increase in wars, rumors of wars, leading nations to rise against nation. You can find that all in the first, like 12 verses of Matthew 24. And as these things begin to appear and to converge and to increase in frequency and intensity, because the reference there is to labor pains.

The day of delivery, Jesus says, when these things begin to appear like this converge, keyword, he doesn’t actually say converge, but that’s the idea when these things align and they increase in frequency and intensity refers to labor pains as that happens, then the day of delivery becomes even closer. There’s no turning back. Michael, I want to ask you a couple questions here. I want to go to this war and rumors of wars, but I do want to ask you a quick question. As you are doing research and journalism and writing, in this first area of deception, how is that in fact impacting what you are doing, increasing the complexity perhaps of having to write because you got to sort through what is real and not real? How are you seeing deception impacting your calling as a watchman on the wall?

Michael Snyder:

Well, it’s very difficult because we’ve got the AI and has become so advanced. So people are creating AI videos and in some cases they look extremely real. So it can be very difficult to discern, okay, is this video that I’m looking at that I’m looking at with my own eyes, is that real or is it not? Or people are putting out AI audio, AI articles, all types of false material, which has been circulating during this war, circulating on social media 24 hours a day. So we’ve got all these constantly being bombarded with rumors about the war. What is true? What is false? What is partly true? It can be very difficult for anyone to discern what is accurate in terms of reporting coming out of the Middle East.

Sam Rohrer:

And so it just increases the necessity for us, Michael, for wisdom and discernment and all of that. And you didn’t say that, but I know you agree with it. Let’s get around because of time. Let’s go to the Middle East. It’s consuming the attention of the world. It really is. Literally dragging the nations of the world into war. It would appear we’re not closer to peace now than we were two weeks ago. Let’s put it that way. From your perspective, and according to your research, where do you see the war headed? And I say that because of this reason. The president has said that Iran is decimated, no ability to continue, yet Iran is continuing. The war originally by spokespeople were, well, only going to last three to four days. We’re going to be in and going to be out. Then it stretched to four to five weeks.

Over the weekend, I saw it began to appear at places of maybe September. All right, what are your thoughts and why?

Michael Snyder:

Well, to a certain extent, the bombing campaign by the United States and Israel has been wildly successful. They’ve taken out all of Iran’s air defenses. They can go wherever they want in Iran and bomb whatever they want. The US has already bombed over 5,000 targets. Israel has bombed thousands of additional targets, and so they’ve been bombing Iran into oblivion to a certain extent, but there is only so much you can do from the air. And the Iranians had prepared in advance that they would hide their drones and hide their missiles. So missiles continue to go to Israel, and particularly with cluster munitions, where one missile goes up and a whole bunch of smaller cluster munitions come down and Israel tries to intercept them. Israel’s running very low reportedly on interceptors at this point. The US is as well anti-air missiles.

And Iran was kind of smart and they held back some of their better weapons and they say they continue to hold back some of their most advanced weapons and they’ve been using their older and some of the less sophisticated weapons and the cluster munitions to try to make the US and Israel run out of their air defenses in terms of their interceptors. And then of course, Iran has thousands and thousands. It seems like they have an endless supply of drones that they’re sending to targets all over the Middle East, causing all sorts of chaos. And then they’ve been able to paralyze. Right now, Iran has control over the strait of Hormuz, not with just with missiles and drones, but fast attack boats. They’ve also got mines, they’ve got drone boats, which are unmanned boats. They can go out and we’ve seen them already hit some tankers with that.

But as some Iranian tankers are getting through and Iran is letting some other commercial vessels get through, but to a great extent, particularly for the Western world, the strait of Hormuz is closed down. And so President Trump is determined to reopen this, but that’s not going to be easy because Iran has their missile launchers deeply dug into the cliffs overlooking the Strait of Hormuz and they’ve got multi-layered defenses and President Trump has started bombing targets along on the Iranian side of the Strait of Hormuz, but it is going to be very difficult to open it, but until the Strate of Hormuz is opened, I don’t think, see how this war is going to end. So this war looks like it’s going to last for an extended period of time, already driven the price of oil. Today is hovering around $100 a barrel. Now if it goes well above $100 a barrel and stays there for an extended period of time, it is going to crash the global economy.

It is going to crash the global financial system, and that’s why President Trump and other Western leaders have been desperately trying to keep the price of oil down. And that’s why they’ve allowed Iranian oil tankers to continue to come through the straight hormones because they know if they start destroying Iranian oil tankers, it’s just going to drive the price of oil even higher. So this is one of the biggest points of leverage that Iran has to inflict pain on the United States, on the Western world. And so they’re using that, but this battle for control of the state of Hormuz, I don’t see how it’s going to end anytime in the short term.

Sam Rohrer:

Okay. And I don’t think we’re going to be able to finish all of this, this next question, but the war, I mean, those are observing it and we are, you are and we are and all of that, but it’s not a typical war. In other words, it’s not going to be won by those who have the most planes or the most ships, kind of what you’re talking about, but that is very, very clear. Iran’s fighting what’s called an asymmetrical war, where the victory will not go to the nation necessarily with the most ships and the plains, but there’s even a spiritual component that goes beyond, that should not be missed in this. Frankly, it’s involved in all sides. Can you share your thoughts about the Iranians religious component and how it is influencing or may influence the duration and the outcome of this war? And if we can’t finish it, we’ll carry over the next segment.

Michael Snyder:

Okay. Yes, Sam, we can negotiate an end to a normal war, but you can’t negotiate an end to a holy war. And that’s what we’re facing. Right after the Ayatollah was killed, they raised the red flag of revenge over the Jean Carin Mosque, their most important mosque there in Iran to signify the 200 million Shi’ite Muslims all over the world that is time for revenge. Subsequently, three grand Ayatollahs issued fatwas declaring Jihad, a global Jihad against the United States and Israel. So, and in addition to the 200 million Shi’ite Muslims all over the world, there’s 2.5 million Shiite Muslims in the United States. We’ve already seen terror attacks in the United States and elsewhere around the world in terms of that. And then people need to understand that the Shiite Muslims running Iran, they’re looking forward to the Madi. They’re looking forward to their essentially Messiah figure.

They believe that he will come when there’s been a time of great war and great chaos. And so they’re looking for this great war, kind of almost similar in some ways to what we think of as Armageddon.

Sam Rohrer:

Okay. And hold that Michael because we’re just out of time. Ladies and gentlemen, stay with us. This stand in the gap today. Michael T. Snyder is my guest today. When we come back, we’re going to continue and complete this thought about religious component peace that’s driving the Middle East war, and then we’ll move into other things that come from Matthew 24. Okay, Michael, in the last segment, we were talking some, and I had to step in on you because of the time of the break coming up, but talking about the religious factors that are actually driving the conflict in the Middle East, and you referred to it actually as a holy war, that makes it different than other types of wars. And I want you to complete that thought here in just a second. But I also used the other word, and you were describing it, that what Iran is fighting is very much of an asymmetrical war.

Now, we’ve talked about that with other guests on this program, that it’s the kind of war that China is fighting, cyber attacks and that kind of thing. There’s an asymmetric war that’s been involved in extending kind of what happens to some degree in what Russia and Ukraine. But in the case of Iran, it was obvious from the beginning, they were never going to be able to compete on the basis of ships or planes, but in other ways, including the closing of the straight Hormuz, it’s creating economic conditions, again, asymmetric impacts that can be very, very, very real. Anyway, so with that being the point, they are driven by a motivation that goes back to their religion and you were talking about it. So just build that out. Any final comments on the religious component that’s driving not just Islam, not Iran, but whole broader Shiite faction of Islam.

Michael Snyder:

Yeah. Donald Trump, he expected Iran to give up because Iran can’t match the combined airpower of the United States and Israel. So Donald Trump thought, “I’m just going to bomb them like crazy and they’re going to give up and they’re going to agree to what I want. ” But from the Iranian point of view, they’re expecting the Madi to arrive at any time. So it would be unthinkable to give up and surrender just when the Madi is coming, right? And then they’re expecting before the Mahdi comes, well, there’s going to be what’s known as the Malhama Alkubra, this great end times war and so that’s one sign and many of them think, and that’s been interpreted as this great war with the Western power. So they’re saying it’s happening now from their perspective, right? And then another thing they’re expecting is the rise of the Dajjal, which is in their mind kind of an antichrist figure, if you will, if we want to put it in Christian terms, but they’re expecting this figure, the Dajjal to arise before the Mahdi.

And many of the religious leaders in Iran now consider that they’ve identified Donald Trump as the Dajjal. So why would they surrender to the Dajjal that doesn’t make any sense in their minds? They would rather die, but they’re expecting the Mahdi to show up in Iran, make his appearance, ride with his army across the Middle East, to the land of Israel, and according to Shiite theology, the Mahdi is going to kill the Dajjal in the land of Israel. So they expect the Mahdi to come ride to their rescue, win this war, be victorious, and then ride to the land of Israel and kill Donald Trump in the land of Israel. I know that sounds crazy to a lot of people, but this is actually how the Shiites are viewing this conflict.

Sam Rohrer:

We could go so much deeper on that, but we’re just going to leave it there for right now. But the point being made, as you said, is that there are factors, and we’re being told there are reasons why we joined with Israel to go against Iran, and there’s all kind of those reasons floating around and they’re changing, frankly. But from the Iranian mindset, that aspect that you talked about actually goes much deeper than political motivations. It goes to their view of eternal life and all of that. So it goes deep. I’m just going to let it there, ladies and gentlemen, because these are factors that are converging in a way, in a time that are creating conditions that when you augment them by lies and deceptions and AI content, really makes it almost impossible to stay up on all of these things. Now, the Bible tells us what our response should be.

We’re going to conclude with that in the next segment. But Michael, let’s move on to this because in Matthew chapter 24, after warning of deception and the rise of wars and rumors of wars that we just touched on briefly, Jesus includes that in this convergence of signs that the appearance of weather and health related events calls out famines and pestilences would also increase. And a significant fact is that all of these signs appear to be global, not just appearing in a single remote location where there’s a famine in Africa as an example, or there’s an earthquake in Alaska or whatever, but appears to be global. Again, these are signs Jesus that is giving converging, increasing in intensity and frequency and building to a climax. That’s the whole point of what Jesus is saying, Matthew 24, and by all indications, because Israel’s back in the land, we are in those days and it’s not a hundred years down the road.

Now, let’s go here. You’ve written about weather, weather related occurrences, perhaps I think more than anyone, and we’ve talked a lot about them, but bring us up to date with weather related events and the trend line that we are seeing as we head deeper into 2026.

Michael Snyder:

Yes, Sam. I’m calling this winter the craziest winter we’ve ever seen while the Southern Hemisphere literally bakes in super hot record breaking temperatures like crazy drought, problems with crops all over the Southern hemisphere. In the Northern hemisphere, we’ve had extreme cold, we’ve had blizzards, we’ve had 30 inches of snow in some areas, we’ve had entire towns buried in snow in the west, lack of snow in Asia, record setting, flooding. It’s been all winter long. And just when you thought was over, now we have this megastorm being called a mega storm in the middle of the country, in the middle of the United States is spawning blizzards, thunderstorms, wildfires and tornadoes. Even where you live, Sam, they’re talking about maybe tornadoes today, but it’s over a large stretch of the country. 200 million people going to be affected by this. So you’ve got in Wisconsin where much of Wisconsin was facing between 20 and 30 inches of snow, 50 mile an hour winds, blizzard conditions, just tremendous, tremendous snow here in March.

You normally don’t see this this late in March, but here it is. Meanwhile, this week it’s going to be 100 degrees in Los Angeles. Hawaii, the flooding there is forcing tens of thousands of people out of their homes. Then in Nebraska, you’ve got colossal wildfires, which have already burned more than 600,000 acres of land, 0% contained as of last evening, but the fires are just out of control, spreading like crazy. Of course, it’s not just Nebraska, but if you look at the United States overall so far in 2026, the number of wildfires and the number of acres burned, both are nearly twice as high as the 10 year average. And the 10 year average is way higher than normal in terms of past decades. But I mean, we’ve taken things to an entirely new level this year with just the wildfires. And so we’ve got all this crazy, insane weather that’s been going on all winter long, all over the country with polar vortexes, with bomb cyclones, with all kinds of insanity.

And now we’ve got this gigantic megastorm right over the middle of the country, right here as we’re supposed to be getting toward the end of winter. So again, convergence is the key

Sam Rohrer:

. As I look at these things, Michael, there’ve always been some bad weather that clearly there have throughout time, but it’s a converging of all of these things that Jesus said. And it’s easy from a human perspective, a non-God-fearing perspective to say, “Oh, well, that’s just the way things are. ” And they blame it on global warming, what the humanists do. But not understanding that throughout scripture, God makes it clear that he indicates his favor or his judgment as reflected through all of these things that we’re talking about here. Now, only a couple minutes left here, but there’s another part in that passage, Matthew 24, where Jesus talks about famines. Now drought, you talked about just drought can cause famines. Floods can cause famine. Fires, you talked about that can cause famine as well. So can war and more if things can’t get planted and all that, but there’s actually things coming out of the Middle East right now with the shutting of the straits of hormones that is now getting world attention as it may impact food production.

That’s a whole aspect of fertilizer and all that. Speak about that.

Michael Snyder:

Yes, Sam. About four billion people eat food that has grown using nitrogen fertilizer and about a third, close to a third of all globally traded nitrogen fertilizer that travels by sea, by ocean, comes out of the Persian Gulf through the strait of Hormuz. And so it’s locked up there right now in the Persian Gulf. It can’t get out. Meanwhile, farmers all over the Northern Hemisphere are getting ready to plant their crops. So we’re going to have a major problem on our hands because we’re already facing a situation where hundreds of millions of people around the world are going to bed hungry every night where people are literally dropping dead from starvation in Eastern Africa and now all this fertilizer, which the world depends upon, can’t get out of the Persian Gulf. And this is driving fertilizer prices much higher, going to drive up food prices even for those farmers that can get fertilizer.

And so this is a potentially major crisis. And if this fertilizer is locked up in the Persian Gulf region for months, as we were talking if this war extends for an extended period of time, we’re not going to have enough fertilizer for farmers all over the world and global crop production will decline significantly, which will greatly accentuate our global food crisis.

Sam Rohrer:

And there’s one thing that we know, Michael, is that when people get hungry, people become desperate. It’s not something that we in America have ever had to worry about. It We could, it may not be, but a lot of the world is, and it’s being discussed out there because of what’s happening there in this expanding and extending war with Iran. And so there, again, choices of consequences. There are many consequences to this ladies and gentlemen, and it happens to reflect so much of what Jesus talked about there in Matthew 24, but Jesus also said, “I want to tell you what to think about all of these things when they come.” We’ll conclude with that. Well, as we enter into our final segment here, let me just give a reminder. My special guest is Michael Snyder. He’s been with me a number of times. And if you listen regular to the program, you no doubt have heard his name, recognize, maybe some of you have even subscribed, but as an independent journalist, he’s dependent upon people just as we are here at Stand in the Gap.

We are dependent upon you, our listeners to support us. Some individuals like Michael don’t work for an organization. They’re independent. And so they depend upon subscriptions from people. So here is the website, Michael T, T as in Tom, Michael, tsnyder.substack.com. If you go to that site, then you can access all his articles of which there are many. He produces multiple per week, sometimes more than one a day, on a wide range of things that are happening. And you can find it there. And then if you’re so inclined to subscribe, you can do that as well on that site. All right, Michael, when you started the program, we were talking about the general aspects of things and I asked you why you kind of pursue writing. And we’ve talked about it before, kind of a mission of a watchman on the wall. And we’ve described that in the past and you talked about it.

And that when you write about things that include warnings, they tend to be, well, a lot of people say negative. And I don’t want to know anything more about that. And I know exactly how that is. When I was in office, I didn’t like to talk about things that weren’t pleasant. But frankly, those things have to be talked about. Truth has to be talked about. And I often tell people, and I know all those you’re listening to me, you know this, until you hear the bad news, the really bad news of the consequences of being born a sinner, a depraved heart, and that we are born on a track to hell. And that if we don’t choose and respond to the moving of the Holy Spirit in our heart to respond to him in faith, as God’s plan of salvation was laid out, God’s plan of redemption, unless we focus and as we accept that, that narrow way that Jesus described, that’s the good news.

So until we have the bad news, who cares? But when we know that we’re sinners on our way to hell, that’s true. That’s bad news. But the bad news drives us to the good news of the gospel. Now that’s just the way it is. And so we can plug our ears and not hear and then, well, if we do that and resist salvation, then we will spend our time in eternity in a place forever removed from the God of heaven. And so you get my point. That balance is what Jesus is actually talking about. Matthew 24, he said to his disciples there, and even I think even more so to us today, because we are in these latter years as scripture talks about, but he gives two warnings. One of them is, “Take heed that no man deceive you, ” or literally another translation is to lead you astray.

A second one is, is be not troubled or perplexed, King James says, or literally don’t be frightened. Now, put another way saying, “Look, be alert for the signs, but don’t let those signs upset or distract you. Stay focused on your mission, of which we’ll have a mission.” Now, Michael, staying focused and remaining on mission is something that you try to balance and you’ve already spoken to it, but again, here and then work these two things together. When you’re writing about the events around us, what are you personally thinking about in regard to staying focused and remaining alert to the mission? And then just morph that into, how should all of those who are listening have ears to hear, have eyes to see? How should they respond to all that we’re seeing happening around us?

Michael Snyder:

Yes, Sam. There’s one word that Jesus used when he was talking about the end times in the Book of Matthew and in Mark and in Luke that he used over and over again. And the word was watch. He used that over and over again because he wants us to be watching for the signs that he gave us and he wants us to understand because you go back and you look at the first coming of Messiah, right? All throughout the Old Testament is packed with prophecies about the coming of Messiah, okay? But then he came and almost everyone missed it and the religious leaders of the day even wanted to kill the Messiah. You know, that’s how badly they missed it. They misunderstood and the consequences for them were tragic, but we are instructed, don’t let that happen to you this time with the second coming of Messiah.

And yet, Sam, one of the things I’ve been most shocked about, I thought by the time we got to this stage, almost everyone would be awake. Almost everyone would be understand. They would be seeing what’s happening and they’d be like, “Oh yeah, this is the Bible. This is the book of Revelation. And yet, from what I can tell, the churches in my area and churches all over the country, a lot of them aren’t even talking about the end times.” And so many people out there, they don’t understand the times in which we live, but we are to understand so that we will know what to do. Not that we can be afraid, but so that we can move forward in boldness to achieve the purpose that we have been given. And we have all been given the purpose, the mission of advancing the gospel of Jesus Christ, that the God who created all things, he sent his son to die on the cross for our sins that we’ll invite him to be our savior and Lord.

Our sins will be washed away. Our sins will be forgiven, will be born again and will be given eternal life. So if there’s anyone listening out there today that doesn’t know Jesus Christ, you were asked if you died tonight, you wouldn’t know where you were going to go, heaven or hell, you didn’t know, well, you can know if you will just invite Jesus Christ to be your Lord and savior today. But that’s the message that we need to take to our family, our friends, as many people as we can because time is short.

Sam Rohrer:

And Michael, you said that very, very clearly. That mission that when Christ left, he gave his disciples, he said, “I go out on all of the world and preach the gospel, make disciples of all people. ” All right, that’s the mission. That’s the mission of this age in which we are, the church. And he said, “But I’m not going to leave you alone. I’m going to leave you. I’m going to go to heaven.” And his disciples, some saw him visibly, physically go, but he said, “But I’m not going to leave you alone. I’m going to send the comforter. I’m going to send the Holy Spirit,” which then happened at Pentecost, we know. And so now those who trust in the Lord are infilled and dwelled by the Holy Spirit who then gives us the ability to understand when we read the scripture, ladies and gentlemen, and that’s God’s plan.

And that mission that he gave his disciples when he ascended that time back almost 2000 years ago is the same mission for us today. So Michael, that is a great reminder. Stay on mission. All right. I have about 45 seconds left. You want to close us in prayer, Michael?

Michael Snyder:

Sure. About Father, we pray today in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Give us power to be your witnesses. Give us power to spread the gospel. Give us power to reach people with the good news about Jesus Christ. Father, give us the words to explain that he’s coming again. Give us the words to point people to the reality that we are living in the end times. And that’s good news because we’ve got a future ahead of us that’s far more glorious than words can describe or that we can even imagine. Thank you for what you’ve done for us. Thank you for the future that we have in you and help us to serve you the very best that we can. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Sam Rohrer:

Amen. Amen. Michael Snyder, thank you so much. Ladies and gentlemen, his website again, michaeltsnyder.substack.com. You can get all of the articles that he writes there. You can subscribe and all of that. I give you that to you and I encourage you to go there. Well, thank you for being with us today. Again, stay alert. Stay focused. Remain alert. Keep our feet anchored on the word of God. It tells us everything that we need to know through the day, this day and the days that will come ahead.
