QUESTION #1: Who are the key leaders and countries to watch in 2018?

Answer:

Bill Koenig:

“In my last news report, I identified 15 people that I’ll be watching closely, that will determine the situation in the Middle East, as well as the world in the year ahead. We can start with the top five. I think those are the most important. Number one would be President Trump. Number two would be President Putin of Russia. Number three, I think, Erdoğan from Turkey is going to have a very significant role. Number four and five, you can put those two together, Rouhani, the President of Iran, and also the Supreme Leader, Khamenei, and then when it comes to the European countries, Merkel and Macron. Macron’s going to push hard to try to bring peace to Israel and the Middle East. That’ll be very interesting in light of Trump’s recent decision on Jerusalem.

Obviously, King Abdullah from Jordan, Prince Salman from Saudi Arabia will have a significant role. That a Chinese President always will have a position. I think Ambassador Haley is going to be and continue to be a very significant voice. Then obviously the leader of North Korea is one of great concern as well. You can always put the Japanese Prime Minister because of the nature of their country and the risk it’s facing with North Korea. That’s pretty much kind of a roundup of the major players. I think the most distinctive ones will obviously be the United States, Russia, Turkey, Iran, and yes, I forgot Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel. Those will be the five or six that I have the most interest in following. You can put the Saudi Prince in their as well, Salman.”
