Israel vs Hezbollah – Phase I: Calibrating the Biblical Prophecies of Tyre and Sidon

Sam Rohrer: Hello and welcome to this Wednesday edition of Stand In the Gap Today, and it’s also our bimonthly focus on Israel prophecy and the Middle East. And today my guest is recurring guest, Dr. Bill Salus, founder of Prophecy Depot Ministries. Now, just a couple of days ago, I covered on this program what were at that point, the most recent developments in world events as we looked at wars, rumors of wars with Israel seemingly connected in one way or another. It seems with all of what’s happening, as remarkable as that information was then I think what’s occurred actually in the last 48 hours is even more remarkable in many ways as global events continue when use the word to metastasize or converge in both frequency and intensity. In all of this as we talked about then you can see it is all kind of moving together much faster just ahead of the US elections here.
Sam Rohrer: Just two weeks from yesterday. And because of the focus of today’s program, we are going to concentrate on Israel. We’re not going to go so broadly. We’re going to take it from Israel and go right into there. The current war with Iran, that is developing, we’ll talk about that Iran’s proxies, certainly with all that’s involved, what the Bible says about Hezbollah, which is right now where the primary concern with Israel is to the north, that current war inside Lebanon. We’ll talk about how this aligns with what at least appears to be many. And we’re going to talk about this, that what we see happening in these crystallizing alliances between Iran, Russia, Turkey, to a lesser degree, but happening and the broader Arab coalition that many think that. Well, this means that Ezekiel 38, 39 battles against Israel are just about to occur. But my returning guest today, Bill Salus, has done extensive research and Bible study on all of the components of the currently unfolding alliances and wars and increasing rumors of wars.
Sam Rohrer: And it’s my goal today to engage him in a conversation to help us better understand what is happening and what will happen in the days ahead and that from right off the pages of scripture. So the title I’ve chosen for today’s program is this, Israel verses Hezbollah Phase one, and I’m putting in this context, calibrating the biblical prophecies of Tyre and Sidon. You’ll recognize those names. It’s all from scripture. We’re going to talk about those things here today and whether I welcome to the program right now, Dr. Bill Salus. Bill, thanks for being back with me.
Bill Salus: Hey Sam, it’s great to be back with you. What a program we got here. You talk about Tyre and siding, those are terms maybe a lot of your listeners are not familiar with, but they’re evacuating lots of people in those cities right now as Israel is moving in this ground war going on with Hezbollah and Lebanon. Amazing time right now.
Sam Rohrer: Yeah, it really is. Both of them. Just this morning I get on the news and there it is. There it is. There are the cities and I saw smoke coming out of them. I mean they’re engaged. So ladies and gentlemen, Bill’s going to talk about that specifically. But Bill, just to share a couple of things to me that have just jumped forward just in the last 48 hours, these couple of things that have happened, Reuters and the Reuters news headline, Iran tells the United Nations, Biden has signaled us approval and support for attack on Iran. That’s big news. In the same window of time from Israel comes the word that they are going to go after Iran. It will be significant in their words and they say it’s going to occur before the November election. Now put some time on it. Iran comes back after that just the other day, Monday night and warns Biden and says, if you permit this to happen, we will not only attack and retaliate against Israel, we’re going to go directly against the United States.
Sam Rohrer: Secretary of State Blinken urges Netanyahu yesterday to seek a truce in Lebanon in Gaza. But effectively Netanyahu came back and said, we’re in the middle of war. This is not a time for truce. So threw that to the side. Yesterday or last evening, Israel comes back and says, they will attack Iran, but it’s going to be secret. They’re not even going to tell the ministers of government until after it’s already happened. Russia and China, they affirm alliances with each other to end the US domination. Yesterday at the BRICS meeting, now underway, all of these things are happening. North Korea sends troops to Russia confirmed just by the Pentagon this morning. South Korea says, well, if North Korea is going to send troops to Russia to fight in Ukraine, we’re going to begin to support Ukraine directly. Bill, this is an incredible thing. But within all of that, these alliances, Russia, Iran, North Korea, China all coming together and many are saying this has got to be Ezekiel 38 and 39 coming together here. You have a different opinion. Why do you say that the Ezekiel war is not the very next engagement of the enemy against Israel
Bill Salus: And what an important prophecy that is. Ezekiel 38 and 39, and I’ll give you a few reasons why I don’t believe it’s the next event to happen, although many of my colleagues do think it is. I have reasons not to agree with that. But the concern about the escalation, the Biden administration and others put forward of the world leaders in the Middle East is for very reason that we see is actually happening right now. It’s escalating and willpowers are being drawn in. Russia is having warships war drills with Iran and the Indian Ocean. Right now, like I said, China and Russia are coming together. Turkey, Russia and Iran are coming together and Turkey, Russia and Iran are part of Ezekiel 38. They’re sort of the lead members of that ancient prophecy. But the reason I believe that this is not the next prophecy on the prophetic scene is because the Israel today doesn’t find itself in the required preconditions described in Ezekiel 38, especially verse 11, which says they’ve got to be in a land of walled villages, a peaceful people who dwell safely, all of them going without walls and having needed bars, no gates.
Bill Salus: Of course, Israel has walls all around it, walls within it, internal checkpoints, border walls, et cetera. The other reason why I think of concern here, we should be looking at the participants in Ezekiel 38, Turkey, Russia, Iran, some of the breakaways, Soviet unions and republics, some of the North African countries, Livia, Ethiopia, Morocco, perhaps Sudan, Tunisia. But none of the countries that Israel is engaged with right now is mainly the Hamas and Lebanon, Hezbollah, the Gaza area, the Hamas, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the surrounding countries that have to show up in Psalm 83 and other different prophecy and elsewhere. None of them are involved in Ezekiel 38 in that coalition that I just talked about prior. So that’s another issue because they’re the ones that have caused Israel havoc since 1948 when it became a nation. A couple fragile peace treaties exists right now with Israel and Jordan and Israel and Egypt. But biblical prophecy, I point out in my Psalm 83 book point out that those peace treaties are fragile. They’re going to be voided out and there be war and confrontation and climactic conclusion between those countries in Psalm 83.
Sam Rohrer: Okay. Okay, bill, we’ll hold it cause of time, ladies and gentlemen. So the point is what Bill is saying is that Ezekiel 38, 39, very important. Those larger countries, they’re moving into alignment, but they’re not quite there yet. Israel is not dwelling in peace. They’re in the middle of war, will build that out and how it applies to Hezbollah in the next segment. Well, if you’re just joining us today on the program, this is an Israel prophecy and Middle East focused program. We do this every other Wednesday generally speaking if we can. And my special guest today that’s been with me, not with me every one of those times but very regularly, is Dr. Bill Salus. He is the founder of Prophecy Depot Ministries, which has a website@prophecydepot.com. And our theme today is this, and we’re talking about Israel talking about prophecy in the midst of everything that’s happening right now.
Sam Rohrer: And we just talked about in the last segment, the alignment of nations, which we are witnessing. We talk about it a lot. Russia firm now alliance with Iran, meaning if someone goes after Iran, Russia is now obligated to come to the aid. That’s that kind of alliance that has been formed. China is in there, North Korea is now a part of that. Turkey is quickly moving. Those are nations that are a part of what is referred to in Ezekiel 38 and 39. And those listening to me right now, most people would recognize that and assume therefore that what is brewing is this major Ezekiel 38 and 39 battle perhaps be in that vein. But we’re going to give another perspective today. And my guest again, Dr. Bill Salus, has done a lot of examination. We’ve talked about some of this on programs before, but want to go into it more now.
Sam Rohrer: And that is that perhaps that battle which will come we know is not coming tomorrow, but a little down the road with some things yet to happen. And that brings us to where we’re talking about today, Israel’s involvement with primarily Hezbollah. So Bill, in your biblical studies and research, you’ve said that in essence there’s a reference in Ezekiel 28 that comes obviously before Ezekiel 38 and that the current involvement with Israel in the Israeli defense forces against Hezbollah in Lebanon with Hezbollah of course being a proxy by Rand. You’ve identified three, you would say, Hezbollah related prophecies that I want you to unfold in this segment. But before we go there, give just a little bit of evidence that Hezbollah in fact does perhaps have reference directly in scripture.
Bill Salus: Yes, I do believe so and I believe there’s some unfulfilled predictions in the Bible that do deal with Hezbollah. Hezbollah, of course, sails from Lebanon put up there as an Iranian proxy started back in 1982. And when you look at the country of Lebanon going back into the Bible and finding out, well, what cities would we be primarily talking about where you’d have Tyre, which is about 12 miles north of the border of Israel, these are coastal cities I’ll be talking about you have Sidon, which is about 30 miles north of Israel, and that’s also known as modern day saa, but it’s also known as Seden, still Tyre and Sidon and are sister cities. They’re listed together about 17 times together in the Old Testament Gaul, which is listed also with Tyre, and that’s north of Beirut slightly. And then you also have this other prophecy in Novo chapter one, verse 20, wasfa.
Bill Salus: So how these break out is Sidon probably the first, but right now, let’s put this into perspective. The Israeli defense forces are in a ground invasion. They’re moving forward, they’re wreaking all kinds of havoc in Beirut and elsewhere. These cities we’re about to talk about Tyre and Sidon have been evacuating their citizens because there are strong Hezbollah footprints inside of both Tyre and Sidon, these old Testament cities. And so they’re the subject of this is where Israel is marching forward doing air attacks. Ultimately, they’re probably going to go so far up into these cities. I actually told them over that one 20 that they’ll actually take over and expand their territory when this is all said and done as far as aircraft, which is sit between Tyre and inside and on the coast of Lebanon. But basically the Ezekiel 28 prophecy in the S scheme of things talks about Sidon and what it says in Ezekiel, I’ll read it real quickly.
Bill Salus: It says in Ezekiel 28 versus 23 votes against, this is verse 20 through 23. It talks about the Lord has got a burden against Sidon and says that the Lord’s against Sidon, I’m your enemy of Sidon. And by the way, the process I’m talking about have not ever found fulfillment. And in the article I’ve written on my website, I’ll give the name of that in a moment. You can find out the reasons they have not found fulfilled when I put arguments to that effect. But I’m against you. I’m your enemy outside, I’ll reveal my glory by what I do to you and I bring judgment against you and reveal my holiness among you. Everyone watching will know it’s a big deal that I’m the Lord. So that’s coming forward and he says, I’m going to send the plague against you and that will be spilled in your streets.
Bill Salus: The attack will come from every direction, and if you like slaughtered within your walls, then everyone will know that I’m the Lord. And it’s already starting to happen. Sam, in my estimation why though we’re told in Ezekiel 28, 4, the reason for that is because Sidon has become a pricking brier, a painful thorn to the house of Israel among the other countries around them who despised them and those other countries around them who despised them. We talked about in just the prior segment in Lebanon, we’ve got Jordan, you’ve got Syria, Egypt, share common borders, you’ve got the Gaza, you’ve got the Palestinians in the West Bank, Saudi Arabia. These are countries of course, and terrorist populations antagonizing Israel like a freaking violent, a painful thorn as the Lord calls them. He’s going to judge that because it says here that Ezekiel 28, 25 through 26, when I’ve gathered the house of vision from the peoples among whom they are scattered and held in them in the inside of the Gentiles, they’ll dwell in their own land, which I gave to my servant Jacob.
Bill Salus: They will dwell safely, which they’re not doing. They’ll build houses and find vineyards which they’re not doing. They will go securely. But when I execute judgments on all those around them which surprise them, they shall know that I’m the Lord their God. And this is already happening in the Gaza. The judgments are being executed through the hand of these Israeli defense forces. There’s processes related to that. It’s now moving forward into the north picking by to the north and it’s going to go as far as Sidon. It’s already hitting Beirut. People are evacuating Beirut. Lebanon is becoming a war torn area, Sam. So basically I think what we’re doing here is step by step, the Israeli defense forces are moving forward and taking over this area and these policies of my estimation are about to find fulfillment. Ezekiel 28 proceeds, Ezekiel 38, revealing the Sidon and Tyre prophecy, which I just read in Ezekiel 28 versus 23, 26. And it says Hezbollah Connections. Sam Rohrer: Okay, that’s excellent. Bill, go back and answer this. I ask you to give just a little bit more connection. You gave some of the references there in Ezekiel 28 to Tyre and Sidon and basically what you said is that prophecy regarding those two cities have never been fulfilled. Therefore, based on that, what is happening right now would most likely be that fulfillment. Now, according to what scripture says, when Israel subdues, what now is amass the Gaza and Hezbollah referenced Lebanon Tyre and Sidon, does the Bible say that Israel then will keep that land once gained? You kind of referred to it, but what happens they going to vacate because a lot of the discussion right now is don’t you build any settlements in the Gaza Israel or don’t you even think about taking any ground in Lebanon, but what’s the Bible say about that?
Bill Salus: So the laws them and they will be annexing territory, which is something they’ve got a history of doing after they win wars, they annex territory, it increases the defensibility of their borders, the victor they can take over the land. And also the land in question that we’re talking about is also within the parameters of the promised land that was given to Abraham that would launch to his descendants in Genesis chapter 15, verse 18, and the river of Egypt, the great river of Egypt, public denial to the river, which of course is the modern day Iraq in Syria as far as they’re going to possess Jordan and Jeremiah, chapter 49, verse two and elsewhere, they’re going to possess five cities in the land of Egypt and Isaiah 1918. But here’s the really interesting thing with Lebanon. It says in Nodi one 20 that the children of Israel going to possess the land of the King Islands as far as Raffa, I talked about Raffa just a moment, moments ago that’s located in southern Lebanon, probably about 25 miles north on the coast north of word of Israel, sandwiching between the sister cities of Tyre and inside.
Bill Salus: And they’re going to capture that and they’re going to possess it and they’re not going to let go of it because that is part of the promised land. And so I see potentially this ground invasion moving forward beyond just the northern border area there, beyond that Litani river that Israel’s concerned about into Tyre, into Rafah, into Sidon and fulfilling perhaps that side and prophecy. And that’s going to be a world changing event when the world watches that. And see, the other thing we had to put in tandem with this now is this prophecy. Ezekiel wrote Ezekiel 37 verse 10, that E become a exceedingly great army and they’re going to come out as a condition that says our hope lost, our bones are dry and themselves are cut off. And that was the Holocaust. So Ezekiel says you’re going to come out of that and you’re become an exceedingly great army. That’s a great army, exceedingly great army. And we’re finding out how that’s being defined in the modern day warfare with Israel with their pager episode that a while back, et cetera.
Sam Rohrer: Alright Bill and ladies and gentlemen, isn’t it wonderful? I mean that we can go to scripture and scripture tells us what will be happening with Israel because what we’re seeing is God’s plan of redemption now centering again on Israel, he’s picking up with them and he’s going to complete the latter year’s prophecies. We’re witnessing that we’ll come back. We’re going to talk again about Hezbollah and what they are doing. Well Bill, in the title that I assigned, I used the phrase that you have Hezbollah phase one in what you’ve put together. And I like that because as we’re talking about the developing broadening war there in the Middle East with Israel saying, we will retaliate against Iran. Iran saying that if you do, we are going to retaliate against you and the United States. If you let Israel do what they are saying to do, we’re going to come after you.
Sam Rohrer: All of these things are unfolding before us. All of us seemed to start back in October 7th when Hamas went into Israel. But then the day afterward on the eighth is when Hezbollah began firing rockets in support and basically creating a nuisance. They never did really go after Israel in a major engagement that a lot of people thought would happen, but they just kind of kept poking, poking, poking, poking, poking, which then leads one to wonder, okay, what’s the strategy? What’s their strategy? What is Iran’s strategy? And therein is where I get this idea of phase one. And I’d like you to lay that out now a little bit here. And partly for this reason as well, Hezbollah has been a proxy of Iran. You’ve said that everybody knows that. I’ve seen a little bit of a shift though is that as Israel has knocked off the leaders of Hezbollah, the next one comes up, they knock them off.
Sam Rohrer: They basically are without a face, there’s somebody calling the shots. But just the other day, actually last night I saw the first reference that the Iranian Republican Guard Corps of the IRGC, they call them, some are saying that they are now actually have stepped in and are directing the actions of Hezbollah, which would mean that there’s a more direct relationship now between Hezbollah and Iran if in fact the guard is directing those efforts. So I put that out there, but there is a larger strategy. Iran has always been a great one at long-term strategy. So within that, lay out what your thoughts are about this last year and what’s happening right now relative to Hezbollah, but functioning as a strategy of Iran in this engagement with Israel. If that makes sense. They can lay that out. I think it’s interesting.
Bill Salus: Absolutely, Sam. I believe Iran is behind the course. Even the October 7th massacre that happened with Hamas the next day, October 8th, Hezbollah was called to engage because in solidarity and support for the Hamas, since that time up to now, it’s been about over a year, a year now, 14,000 missiles roughly have been sent out of Hezbollah’s arsenal of about 150,000 to 200,000. Jerusalem posted they might have 200,000 missiles. That’s about 1200 a month missiles going into Northern Israel, about 40 days on an average, 40 missiles a day on average it’s caused 60 to 80,000 Israelis to the north to evacuate. I think it was part of phase one of Iran’s multifaceted multi-phase plan basically, which would read as follows. You have part one was Hezbollah, of course being the number one proxy of Iran, which respects to its firepower with all those missiles. And some of those are precision guided phase one, they wanted to spread the idea of thin by diverting troops and important military resources to the north part of Israel away from the Gaza war campaign, which was down to the southwest.
Bill Salus: And they of course now they’ve done that. Then unfortunately the Gaza, the Gaza and Hamas pretty much the Gaza devastated. But of course they have spread the troops thin. I wanted to complete some of Israel’s missile defense systems, mainly the Iron Dome, which they’re doing quite, which will eliminate Israel’s ability to wage and win a full scale war with Iran. Asal and Syria, which could happen, could grow into that if it’s when they already know Iran has been attacking on a couple occasions, Israel sending missiles over in the recent couple months. Three, they wanted to create danger, chaos disaster among the civilians living in northern Israel, forcing these Israelis to evacuate their homes and towns, which I just said about 60 some thousand of them have done that. And it’s also, Sam is interesting because it renders them unavailable these citizens as combatants remember that everyone in Israel, it’s a mandatory draft of both men and women.
Bill Salus: So most all these citizens are trained and skilled in warfare. So it renders them the citizens as non-combatants in cases, the hand to hand, house to house fighting going on, which Israel is making the initial move going up to the north in Lebanon. But of course Hezbollah had plans where they may be thwarted at this point to come in phase two into a ground invasion and start of Israel to create another Hamas scenario and even worse. And also it makes them, these civilians that have evacuated, they becoming huge refugee burden on Israel. They’re living is exiled inside of the nation of Israel right now. They want to go back to their homes and essentially that’s what Israel is doing the ground invasion for and the bombings in Beirut et cetera, is because they want these citizens to come back home to their homes and that sort of thing.
Bill Salus: And the only way that’s going to happen is they can prevent as false possibility of having another kind of massacre that otherwise they will not go back to their homes and their businesses and their children’s back to their schools. Of course it drains tourism, there’s no tourism going on. Just recently the British Airways said they’re going to cancel all flights is really because of the concerns escalation. I think that goes until March or April of 2025 that ban and provides more time for the international community. This is also part of phase one which has accomplished these things so far, provides more time for the international community and Muslim nations within it and for the United propaganda media wars against Israel for those killings of the thousands of Palestinians and the Gaza. Of course we’ve seen that antisemitism occurring its ugly head on our college campuses also, and this is probably most importantly the last one.
Bill Salus: It gives Iran more time to arm their hypersonic ballistic missiles. But nuclear weapons there explicitly intended Sam to wipe the Jewish state off of the map. Some of us believe that Iran already has three to five explosive ready nuclear weapons to go and we believe they’ve already been doing some underground testing of these nuclear devices. So I mean this is just something that’s already been accomplished in phase one. Of course Hezbollah and Hamas are taking a heavy toll for this and talked about who’s the next point man for follow. Well they don’t probably want to name that point man. They don’t want to pin a tail on that point man because it can be essentially a death sentence and let a skilled ability and who the leaders are and to take them out. And so like you said, it’s probably now in the hands of where was in initially in the Iranian revolutionary guard.
Sam Rohrer: Okay, well that’s excellent. So the thought there again is that phase one, and I think one could look back here now after a year and say I think every one of those eight things that you said you could prove it has spread the IDF thin. It has depleted a lot of Israel’s missile defense systems and one I don’t think you had there, but I’ll put it in there as well, is that economically the workforce of Israel has been primarily caught up in being troops on the ground and that’s had an economic impact. So to some extent and Iran with all of its cohorts can outlast a little Israel, small in number and small in geography and last a lot longer by attrition. So all of that, what you’re saying as well, but they’ve depleted the north. I think that’s a big thing. Those people don’t want to go back right now Israel’s talked about that you referenced to them when they left the north, they come down into the south and now they become a refugee burden. I think those are tremendous points Bill. So it’s phase one. So what’s phase two as you look at this, think that this phase one is about at a close or what will bring this phase one perhaps to a phase two.
Bill Salus: I believe it is coming rapidly to a close because of Israel’s initiatives. The successes that they’ve had with their pagers debilitating the command and control, the ground invasion going on. I mean they bombed the Gaza of the Marines. They’re about to do the same when they’re doing it with Lebanon. If Iran does not kick into phase two soon, they won’t be able to. And phase two, my estimation is they’re going to bring in Syria with who used chemical weapons over 300 times in their revolution, certain revolution, some of those chemical weapons have been traced to go into HEZs hands. Iran of course has lots of missiles, ballistic missiles, hypersonic ballistic missiles. I think they’re arming them with nuclear warheads or wanting to do that. They’re going to get the militias in Iraq to step it up. The Houthis down in Yemen, they’ve already trained 20,000 some odd troops.
Bill Salus: On Christmas of last year, the Houthis were preparing 20,000 troops to train to go into war and help fight the phase two scenario. An article came out about three, four weeks ago that about 40,000, including those 20,000, have made their way into Syria approaching the borders of Israel. So I think it’s about to happen at this point. Everybody’s kind of waiting to see what Israel is about to do. I think Israel is going to do something very devastating. It wouldn’t surprise me in fulfillment of process in Jeremiah chapter 49 dealing with Elon versus 34 through 39, which predicts a disaster happen in that area on the western side of Iran and to be entering crisis, the people will scatter and we exile be Iranians. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an EMP be launched by Israel over there debilitating that area because that is where all of Iran, most all of Iran’s underground missile launchers,

Sam Rohrer: Okay. Alright Bill, hold that and ladies and gentlemen, in the next segment I’m going to ask building back. We’re going to take and basically align or calibrate biblical prophecies with the events that we know we are now as they go forward, take an attempt to put them somewhat in order to help us understand better what is laying out ahead of us here. Alright Bill, as we wrap up the program today, again, we’ve concentrated on what is happening there in Israel. Israel right now engaging Hezbollah to the north. You’ve making a case and I would agree with it that what we’ve witnessed since October 7th of last year has been very much in alignment with what is talked about in Ezekiel 28 and Psalm 30 and Israel in their military being successful ultimately at the nations right around them. But ultimately you’ve got the bigger nations on the outside, the Iran, the Russia, the Turkey, the Ethiopia, the others that were mentioned in scripture that will come together at some point in Ezekiel 38 and 39 conflict or perhaps a series of conflicts, not just a single battle perhaps, but as we are sitting here right now, I’d like you just to lay out if you could, the chronology of Prophetical events that begin with the fact that Israel’s now back in the land.
Sam Rohrer: That’s a prophetical fulfillment. And here we are, we’re at the point where obviously God is stirring the hearts of the nations and God is doing something with Israel. It cannot be denied. So with these things happening, lay out if you could, a chronology of the events that will likely be unfolding in the days, not 50 years from now, but very soon right ahead of us.
Bill Salus: Awesome Sam. I’m going to give you sort of a step outside the forest from the tree’s view of what I think prophetically sequentially is about to happen. And within each one of these events there are other sub events that lead give us more details and camera angles under prophecies became a nation in 1948 as predicted that the inner circle of countries around Israel, we talked about the Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Palestinians, et cetera. They became a pricking briar and a painful thorn to the house of Israel, which was designed to be a safe growing home building vineyard, planting nation, according to EQ 28, verse 26, judgments had to be executed upon them who despised them. I read that earlier in the show they to be part of The Psalm 83 Confederacy, which I believe will climax when they come together in ze 12 verses two and try to make a final siege on Judah and Jerusalem.
Bill Salus: Jerusalem is considered the third holy city in Islam, of course the Dome of the Rock here in the Al Mosque there. And God says, when that happens, I God will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling to all the people on ballot when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And he divinely intervenes and empowers these Israeli defense force who told him exactly right 1206, that in that day when they try to make that final siege, they’ll make the Israeli defense forces due to like a fire pan in the wood pile and like a fiery torch in the sheaths. And they shall devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left. But Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in their own place. Now when that happens, Israel can then dwell securely, which is a prerequisite for the really big D policy in Ezekiel chapter 38.
Bill Salus: They’ll dwell securely, they’ll go peacefully, they’ll tow down the walls and security checkpoints and they’re going to be sort become a prosperous nation after they go through these other sub details. So many trees not going to walk in the park as you’re already seeing with these war. There’s a lot of damage being caused people living in bomb shelters, sirens are sounding daily in Israel. Ultimately there’ll be a conflict with Syria, which the city, the mass gets destroyed in Isaiah 17 which says verse one, Damascus behold ceases from being city and it’ll be ruined. The seat we’re told in verse nine that that desolation is caused by the Israeli defense sources the children of Israel, Israel. And we’re told Isaiah 17, verse 14, the proxy concludes by and you see him Damascus and dam masculine putdown in the evening when in the morning he’s no more because it’s a portion of those who pond us and rob us.
Bill Salus: Meaning in self-defense, Israel has to take out the city, which by the way they believe a lot of the chemical weapons are buried underneath the city of Damascus. So the prime target for Israel. And then I think what happens ultimately that then leads to the Ezekiel 38 prophecy where Russia puts together this coalition with Iran, Turkey, and those countries talk about the onset of their program to come off to Israel for plu and boot. Now that’s an outer ring of countries. They don’t share common borders with Israel, different reliance, different coalition. Ultimately after that, Israel begins world renowned and the aftermath is God’s stops. That’s supernaturally that Prophet is not getting involved in Israeli defense forces other than in the Moffit. We’ve got stuff with the great earthquake, fire cutting rains, hills, great hailstones and iron rim stone. And then at that point Israel’s sitting pretty high on the hog if you will, on through a lot these Israeli defense forces are proven himself being exceeding the great army, God intervenes.
Bill Salus: They want to start to now build their temple and sign a false covenant seven year, we call it false because it’s a sgo piece that they think they achieved by anex confirms its covenant in Daniel 9 27 and Isaiah 28, 15 and 18. And that’s when you have the start of the tribulation period. So I put Psalm 83, the section Damascus, Isaiah 17, the site and prophecy Ezekiel 28, by the way Tyre, we talked about that earlier. There are also in Psalm 83 verse seven, alongside with Felicia, which is the Gaza, the Hamas are, so they’re in the inner circle of countries. We have Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Ezekiel 28, Zechariah at 12, just quoting Ezekiel 38 and 39. And then ultimately you get into the tribulation period. So those other events would be pre tribulational events in minus estimation. Now this is educated speculation, Sam. Of course I could be wrong, but I do, I have studied this for years and this is what I’m watching for.
Sam Rohrer: We don’t have time to actually get into this, but there are some people, bill who are saying and listen to them. I don’t agree, but there are a number of folks that are saying, well, based on a number of events, signs and the stars and so forth that the tribulation period has already started. I don’t believe that that’s possible. I think that has to be with the signing of the peace treaty. But just very briefly, what you are describing would appear to be years, not necessarily a lot of years, but more than a couple of weeks away from where we are. There’s some ground to be covered yet with what you laid out there, correct?
Bill Salus: Absolutely, Sam. I could go into great detail as to why I believe there’s at least three and a half years because part of the prophecy of Ezekiel 38 and 39 is after the victory, God gives the Jewish people divinely, they’re going to convert the weapons to fuel for a process of seven years. And they could do that three and a half years before the tribulation and three and a half years into the first half of the tribulation. But in the second half to study the prophecy, the antichrist goes into the Jewish temple, which will exist at that time and then desecrated it. And Jesus said man to 24 15 to the Jews, when you see that, you flee immediately to the mountains, which would be mountains of Southern Jordan. So they’ll be fleeing, not burning weapons, not fighting, not converting fuel. So I see Psalm 83 take some time on Isaiah 17 with Jeremiah 49 on prophecy on E 38. Three and a half years after that concludes then you could have the true relation period start. So I don’t see it’s a false covenant. The covenant gets confirmed. It starts the 70 treaty that’s commonly taught between traditional commentators and your contemporaries today.
Sam Rohrer: Yep. Alright. And with that Bill, we’re about at the end, ladies and gentlemen, I know you’ve been listening the whole time. You could say, oh man, let’s keep going on that because there is so much clarity when you get into the whole area of prophecy like this. There is a lot of speculation. Scripture does not give us the exact date, but he does give these events that we’re talking about and they are laid out at the end of the day when we see all of these things beginning to occur, which we are, we know though that the day of the Lord’s second coming in, the rapture preceding it is obviously closer than it was yesterday. And when we see these things begin to happen, we are to look up and to be bold in the communication of the gospel. Not being perplexed by what we see, but being more faithful than ever being that salt and light that God has called us to be. And I hope that that is your resolve and how we conclude all that we’ve talked about here today. The Lord is in control. It is a fantastic thing to watch what he has said actually coming to pass.
