Hello and welcome to this Wednesday edition of Stand in the Gap Today with returning guest today, Leo Hohmann. Now today we’re going to anchor our discussion around a critical defining theme. Here’s the title to frame our discussion today, Creating the Conditions, Energy Crisis, Inflation, and the Building of the Surveillance State. Now, as we look across current headlines today and the convergence of economic and geopolitical pressure, it’s frankly undeniable. If you can’t feel it, you’re not really listening to too many things, the world feels it. It’s obvious. Shipping lanes through the Strait of Hormuz and Bab El Mandeb are essentially closed. Global crude prices are surging. Domestic fuel costs here in America threaten to drive inflation deeper into the everyday lives of American households. And at the same time, central authorities in Washington are leaning heavily into automated data centers and satellite monitoring and digital tracking under the guise they say of, well, it’s management, crisis management and well, best government expert solutions they say.
But herein lies a true dilemma in a very serious, I believe, problem when those in power who are making these statements clearly by their actions have no fear of God, very clearly unrestrained by the Constitution or God’s moral laws and make their decisions based on, well, emotions that change from hour to hour. And as our current president has clearly stated on many occasions, ruled by pragmatism. That may sound good, but it’s not. On this program on a number of occasions, we’ve made clear that by definition, pragmatism is what’s left over when truth is cast aside. That’s what it is. That’s what pragmatism is. And as Leo, my guest today, recently wrote into one of his escalating realities, he’s talking about, he said, this is the title, “The fundamental transformation to a fully controlled digital society is being driven on the battlefields with unnecessary wars and in the global oil and gas markets making energy basically unaffordable.
The petrodollar and the empire it propped up is in free fall right before our eyes.” And with those things, it sets the stage for what we’re going to talk about today because these developments, if you consider they’re not isolated events, they must be examined relative to their economic shock impact. Energy shortages are involved. Growing technological solutions are actually emerging as I’m going to suggest an engineered trap, one that leverages managed emergencies, which is what our government officials say, but a goal to transition our society away from constitutionally restrained government to a digitally run elite controlled beast system of which we’ve talked much. And with that, Leo, welcome back to the program. It’s great to always have you back.
Leo Hohmann:
Oh, thanks for having me back, Sam.
Sam Rohrer:
Leo, let’s go at this from a general perspective. From a 10,000 foot perspective, you’re writing on topics of all flavors, all of these we’re talking about today, from escalating Middle East conflicts, energy shocks, rapid development of technology and so forth. But how would you describe, put it in the terms of problem, cause, solution. We’re going to deal with the cause the next segment and then solutions, but how would you describe the greatest problem facing America right now, today and how it contrasts, if at all, with what’s facing the entire world? And put it this way, is the problem of greatest concern just developing or is it about to cross from, I’m going to say incubation into full disease manifestation? Where are we in this process?
Leo Hohmann:
Yeah, great question. I would say that it’s been incubating for at least since the nine eleven and the Iraq war. And even before that we had the Iran-Iraq war with the United States taking the side of Iraq and training and providing intelligence to the Iraqi army to attack Iran causing. This is the story nobody really wants to talk about. You hear nothing about it in the conservative media. It’s all, oh, Iran has been attacking us and killing Americans for 47 years. No, you have to go back to 1953 actually with the US CIA, US British inspired coup that happened in Iran where the democratically elected Mohammed Mosadik, who was the elected leader of Iran was overthrown in a CIA instigated coup. And we installed our puppet dictator, the Shah of Iran. Then as I said, we sponsored Iraq to attack Iran causing some reports anywhere from 350 to 600,000 Iranian deaths.
The cemeteries over there are filled with men of all ages who died in that war. We even helped Saddam use chemical weapons against Iran in that war. Nobody wants to talk about that. And then we went from that to the nine eleven attack and then Saddam who was our guy, then we went after him when he had fulfilled his purpose and decided he wanted to sell some of his oil in non-dollars. He was taken out and it’s been incubating ever since really the end of World War II and when the British handed their empire off to the United States and that involved the US going into the Middle East with big major assets and solidifying those oil fields for American companies. And the whole reason we did the 1953 coup in Iran, by the way, was because the democratically elected Mohammed Mosadik wanted to nationalize the oil fields and prevent Western companies from extrapolating the profits.
At that time it was British Petroleum who was the main company in there in cooperation with at least one American oil company. And so this is what it’s about, neo-colonialism and it’s run its course. The empire is now in a stage where it is fading and falling and a fading falling empire is always dangerous. And that’s why you’re seeing the leader of that empire now act in what seems like some irrational ways, but this should not be seen as too surprising because he is leading a faltering, fading empire and he’s now ratcheting out in violent ways. We’ve seen it in Venezuela where he kidnapped the leader of the country, put him in prison and stole their oil. And he thought he could do the same thing now in Iran. At the same time, we’re moving into this AI era where resources are more important than ever.
And so he’s just reaching and grabbing for resources wherever he thinks he can get them. And Iran was next on the list, but Iran is no Venezuela and we’re seeing that play out now. And I think it could lead to a speeding up. I’ve actually referred to Donald Trump as the globalist man of the hour, as the closer, the closer for the globalists who want to see the American empire degraded and destroyed.
Sam Rohrer:
Okay. And with that, Leo, hold that. And ladies and gentlemen, we’ll continue on this because I think that was a good 10,000 foot overview, Leo, because all of those things are true. And ladies and gentlemen, it’s why we’ve been talking about what’s happening to the dollar. Our debt fits into that. Our inflation fits into that. All of it fits together and we’ll continue on that next. If you’re just joining us today, welcome aboard. It’s always good to have you listening to this program. And today, my guest is Leo Hohmann, generally with me about once a month. He’s an independent investigative journalist, writes profusely on, I’m going to say all of the pertinent issues. He’s independent as I mentioned, and therefore he does not do the bidding of the controlled media. He follows the truth, which is why I have him on here. He has a website at leoHohmann.com.
Leo Hohmann, two N’s on that name, hohmann.com. And if you would want to subscribe, which I would encourage you to do so because since he is independent, that’s how he survives. And just like we do here on this program, we’re not owned and controlled by deep pockets who tell us what to do. We are supported by you and independent people who are committed to the truth. So Leo is too, so you may want to consider that. Now that being said, in the last segment, Leo gave an overall a 10,000 foot view. I’m not going to go over that again right now. If you just join us, go back and listen to the program again. But here in this program, we’re going to move from what Leo described as the big problem. And we talked about in terms of actually incubation. Things have been happening for a long time that involve us and the leaders of our nation in trying to take down and build up other nations.
And when we went to the Middle East, tried to take over the oil, which we did, OPEC was set up as a return for them selling their oil in dollars. The dollar became, we didn’t get into all of this, but I’m just putting that in there, became the hammer for the world. And we’ve used the ability here of our dollars to sanction people, to threaten other nations, to reward other nations as in bribery to all kinds of things. And we see that happening today from tariffs to sanctions to secondary sanctions, all that kind of thing. It’s because of the dollar. But the dollar is in real trouble as we have been saying for a long time on this program. And it does go to the heart of this whole issue of energy shortages and fuel inflation and all of these things that I would submit may actually be paving the way for an exercise of, well, emergency power.
We’ll talk more about that because right now oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz and now the Red Sea, the Bab L Mandeb straits, they’re basically shut down. The pipeline, East West pipeline across Saudi Arabia has been shut. US bases in the Middle East have all come under fire and former regional allies there in the Middle East, the Saudis and others, as an example, are pivoting and pivoting fast toward Russia and China and Turkey. And yet at the same time, the administration in power right now, our administration insists that victory is at hand and that plunging gas prices will happen after the November election. And as Leo noted in one of his commentaries, it said this, “Into the new rapidly spiraling energy crisis, US Secretary of Energy, Chris Wright, attempted to speak some calm into the market just very recently. He said where the total shutdown of the East-West Pipeline was no big concern with the pipeline totally dead,” Leo’s saying, “They will just blow it back up again and leaving another big mess.” And just the idea that that pipeline is not up and running and if they do fix it, it’ll not stay fixed for long.
Now with that being said, Leo, let me get right into it here with you looking in the section at causes and with engineered causes, the things that end up becoming justifications for other things to happen. But as fuel prices are surging, and they are, critical shipping lanes face ongoing disruption. There is no quick fix. Even if there was some peace deal today, they wouldn’t be back up for months, years. The refineries at least would not be for years. How do escalating diesel costs and depleted energy reserves directly build the rationale for what Summer and Washington are saying, emergency energy declarations with already some public rationing already occurring?
Leo Hohmann:
Yeah. I mean, we just found out this week that Costco, the major bulk retailer that a lot of people shop at, announced that they’re going to start rationing motor oil, that you can only buy two containers of motor oil per week. I expect other major retailers to follow suit in that exact same mode. And eventually we’re going to see ourselves if this war doesn’t end, like you said, even if it ends now, we’re still in trouble. But if this war were to continue, which it seems like it’s going to at least now right until the midterm elections in November, if this war continues till November and longer, I can certainly see that we’re heading towards widespread rationing and potentially a energy lockdown where Americans would only be able to drive so far from their homes so many times a week. And we know now how this can be enforced with the Flock surveillance cameras, not just Flock, but several other companies in that same space watching that these are the eyes of the BEAST system, these surveillance cameras that over the last five to 10 years have been placed, especially in the last two to three years on every practically every corner of major cities and even not so major cities, small cities and medium sized cities.
These are the eyes of the BEAST system. The brains of the BEES system will be the data centers, which we know are being built at breakneck speed under President Trump with all regulations taken off. We’re up to last I saw about 5,500 data centers in this country with plans to build 9,000. That is like five times more than China has, eight or 10 times more than Russia has. Why do we need so many data centers if it’s just about making sure that we don’t lose out to China? Why do we need five times more data centers than China if we really are in this neck and neck race for military superiority in terms of AI? It doesn’t add up. It’s not about that. It’s about erecting a lockdown total information awareness beast system where there will be total control over the movement of human beings, total control over the spending of human beings, total control over the First Amendment rights, who gets to say what of human beings.
We’ve seen it playing out before our eyes. We’ve seen states enacting more and more draconian laws about what people are allowed to say and do. We’ve seen states toying with replacements for the gas tax that would actually tax us by the mile. In other words, you would be taxed more if you drive more. There are myriad ways with which the energy lockdown could be enforced. I don’t know all of the ways in which it will end up being enforced, but I know that that is part of the agenda. How do I know that? Because it’s been stated in the wide open by the globalists at the World Economic Forum for at least the last eight or 10 years that they believe there’s too many people on the planet using too much energy and that we need a more sustainable economic model. And it just happens to be that the technocrats who started a movement back in the 1930s, they were ahead of their time.
Their plans of reorganizing society were pretty much discarded as lunacy back in the 1930s, but now they’re making a comeback when the technology and the global sentiment is much more in their favor. There’s eight billion people on the planet now considered way too much for a sustainable future and they have all of this technology which will allow them to actually keep up with who is doing what and going where and associating with who and stating what. All of their opinions are on Facebook and Instagram and they know what we all think and what we all believe. And so it will be so much easier for them to crack down on freedom and liberty and bring us into this newly reorganized technocratic surveillance state where everything is controlled by the globalist elites.
Sam Rohrer:
And Leo, there are some who may be listening. If they’ve been listening to the program before, they know that what you’re saying is not a statement of sensationalism. It may sound that way because it’s kind of like remarkable, really? But everything that you just said affirming, again, we’ve talked about it, I’ve talked about it with many guests, all of those things you just said have either been stated in part by those who are in office in Washington now or the World Economic Forum people or the elitists that run the data centers and that are running AI, the billionaires of that type, they have all been saying it. The remarkable thing to me, Leo, is the fact that when people say things, leaders say things like that, that if it doesn’t sound positive, we just ignore it as well, why believe them rather than the fact that they did say it and we ought to believe them because it all fits.
So ladies and gentlemen, part of that we’re saying is that a lot of things are happening right now, the war in Middle East, increasing energy prices, decreasing energy supplies. All of these things are fitting together to produce justifications for what may be the next step and that is, well, more government control. That should not be a surprise. We come back, we’ll talk about what some of that looks like.
Well, in the last segment, we examined what we would term, let’s say engineered causes of our current crisis and what those factors are, because there’s more than these, but energy supply shocks, depleted reserves, our oil reserves. By the way, I’m just going to throw in a fact here. You’ll hear quoted from experts that we have 285 million barrels left in our strategic reserve. That’s a number that you’ll hear right now. And it’s gone down from about 350 some in February before the war of Iran began. That part, that is what I just said there is true. Now here’s the part that’s not shared. The minimal amount that has to be kept in our strategic reserve, which are salt cabins, is between 225 and 250 million barrels. If they go below that amount, the caverns will collapse and then nothing will be able to be there as a reserve.
So using 250 million as the safe number, and it’s by law, you have really. Well, I just worked it out right now. You have about 35 million barrels left that are actually usable. We’re using 5.7 million barrels a week out of our reserves, and that has been used to artificially keep the price of gas down. How long will that last at the rate that’s going right now? It’s 43 days. Just simple math. It’s 43 days. So therefore, part of our problem is that the information that we’re getting is either not right or it’s only partially correct and it’s spun in such a way so that people think one thing, but in reality, it’s something else. Now I’m going to talk to Leo here right now because now this becomes the solution and he’s already referred to it, but if there is an engineered cause, in other words, we have a crude price shortage and all of that because it has been allowed to happen.
We began a war in Iran and the straits was closed and it was known. So it continues to happen. So it’s happened because of certain things that have been done. Our inflation and the value of our dollars going down. Why? Well, because our debt is uncontrolled and it’s actually growing faster in the last two years than at any time in the history of our nation. So under current watch, it’s growing faster than ever. The debt is growing faster. All of these things are coming together, yet it’s all coming together to what end? Leo, you wrote, and you’ve talked much about it, but you said in one of your recent writings, you said this, “The current system is going to be replaced with a technocracy based on total surveillance,” which you’ve already talked about, “and total government control powered by 6G and AI data centers, and it’s going to be far worse.
The AI surveillance cameras in every corner, which you’ve already mentioned, will be the eyes of the oppressive beast system. The data centers will be the brains.” And you’ve already talked about that. Now let’s go into this and talk a little bit further because as energy shortages and inflation mount, how do you see this long discussed concept of sustainable development, which our listeners will be familiar with, and the UN agenda 2030 being positioned as perhaps the ultimate solution to force society into this restricted energy use and digital management? How’s that work together?
Leo Hohmann:
It all fits together. And I’ve stated for quite some time now that when we see the biometric digital IDs being rolled out and the paper fiat currency collapsing and being replaced, it may happen gradually, not overnight, but when that fiat currency is replaced with some sort of digital programmable currency, whether it’s a private cryptocurrency like the Trump stable coin that has the backing of the banks or whether it is an actual CBDC doesn’t matter, the end effect will be the same. Digital programmable currency plus biometric digital ID means what? Total enslavement. The surveillance state will have reached its maturity at that point and there will be no turning back. We’re still in the run up to that. You can see every day countries preparing for it. I mean, there’s a website called Biometric Update that your audience may want to be aware of because you go there every day and see Nigeria is putting in place some law that would pave the way for its new digital ID or Malaysia or all these countries around the world are preparing and implementing digital IDs that are tied to your biometric, your unique biometric identity, whether it’s your palm scan, your retina scan or your facial scan, it’s all tied in, your identity will be digitally marked with that.
And so it’s coming. The United States tends to lag behind in these technological, they call them upgrades, right? But it’s always in the background ready to do it. And in this country, it’s usually done by the private sector and then the private sector programs get married with the government. That’s the way it always happens. It’s not like Congress goes into session one day and passes a law and requiring everybody to have a digital ID. It’s much more sneaky in this country because they know that if it were done that way, people would what? People would rebel. People would wake up. People would say, “No, we’re not going to do that.” And so it’s done through the backdoor channels in this country, through private industry, through private banks, through private retailers. And before you know it, you will not be able to buy or sell unless you have a digital ID because nobody’s going to accept cash.
I’ve already experienced this. I went to a minor league baseball game with my daughter in Chattanooga and the entire complex, which was filled with retail food and beverage stands, nobody would take cash. They only took credit cards or cash apps on your phone or debit cards. They would not take your paper money. There’s retail establishments in major cities like Atlanta, restaurants where I bumped into the same thing. And so it’s coming folks, but it’s not going to be done by an act of Congress overnight where it becomes obvious to everyone what’s going on.
Sam Rohrer:
Leo, you make a good point there about how we think here in America that all the other nations are in the dark and old and not involved in things. But in reality, as you’re saying, I’ve noted that as well. Some of the countries that you would think would be the lowest on the technocracy or the technical poll are implementing these things and they’re ahead of us. And one of the things that surprises me here that in these days when things are moving so fast, under the current administration, I mean faster than ever, is that there’s a refusal to talk about policy implementations or policy implications. The president himself, I’m just looking at a quote that he made in regard to something just recently where people are rising up against data centers because they’re becoming awake as you are saying. And so the president’s comment was, “The only reason that communities throughout the USA should not want data centers is if they want to end up being backwards and poor.” Well, what an intimidating though that is.
And then I heard speaker of the house, Mike Johnson, just the other day was quizzed about all of this and he said, “Hey, look, we don’t want to put restraints on data centers in advancement of AI. It’s not in our interest to do so.” And I’m thinking Mike Johnson, speaker, are you kidding me? Leo, any comments?
Leo Hohmann:
Well, it’s just like with the flock cameras. President Trump went on the record in an interview when he was being questioned by reporters just about two days ago about the flock cameras. They said, “Mr. President, there’s been a lot of people upset about the proliferation of flock cameras. You’ve said very little about this. What is your opinion about that?” “Oh, I like them, “the president said,” Because of law enforcement. And of course we know the president is for everything having to do with law enforcement. So the more we can turn our country into a police state, the better it looks in the eyes of the president of the United States. He’s very upfront about that. And yet we still have these blind backers who think Trump can do no wrong. And even when he says in the wide open things that don’t sound good, well, he might just be saying that for some secret unknown purpose that we’re not aware of.
Just trust the plan. Yeah, we’re going to trust the plan all right, all the way to a total lockdown dictatorship.
Sam Rohrer:
And that brings us about to the end of this break, Leo, but as a former legislator and a Christian, when I was in office and I try to encourage everybody who’s in office who say they’re believers to say, “Look, your party is not the most important. If it is, you are already compromised.” What about your oath? When you make your votes and somebody makes a statement, Do you say, “Well, how does it compare to our constitution? Can we do it? Should we do it?” But have you actually started with what does God’s moral law say about? Is it right? Is it just? Ladies and gentlemen, do not get caught into believing anything that anyone says, regardless of who they are, unless you run it through the grid of, first of all, the word of God and what God’s word says, and then in our nation, the constitution and what it permits.
As we go into our final segment now, I just wanted to give again one more time my guest, Leo Hohmann, his website, Leo Hohmann, two Ns on that, leoHohmann.com. You can access all of his articles and you can actually become a supporter, and I would encourage that to be done. The good guys who are left, to put this way in media in many areas, are those who have chosen to be independent and not to be owned by the money sources. So I’ll just put that out there. So you can again get this program here we’re doing today on our website, standonthegapradio.com or on our app, Stand in the Gap. Now, across the first three segments that we’ve looked at so far, we’ve had a progression. The problem cited that at the beginning, the objective reality that our nation is at a crossroads, but it’s not just our nation, but the entire world, which is when we speak from a prophetical perspective, which has not been the focus of today’s program, these pieces fit into that because that’s when you see things really coming together.
But we’ve identified the areas of energy shortages, it’s wide economic impacts. We didn’t even talk about it on this program, but food shortages, there’s tying into that. Rising inflation, we did mention that. And at the same time, the simultaneous build out of AI, cameras, data center, all of these things being offered as solutions. We’ve identified them, and I have anyways, as engineered causes, justifications for what? Well, a globalist solution that has inescapable surveillance and a control grid made up of the things we’ve talked about. Those are not our ideas. This is what has been stated for a long time and increasingly stated. But it does bring us face to face with a profound dilemma because when the systems of this world are intentionally structured and they are to squeeze human freedom, that is the nature of what the Bible talks about the world and the world’s system.
What does that always demand? Well, total compliance and control, lack of freedom. Okay. When that happens, and we know, because that’s been the history of the world, what the Bible says, how does the person who fears God navigate our path forward without falling into either, I want to say, helpless despair and worldly compromise? How do we go forward? Well, it’s there and there is an answer to it. And of course the scripture holds that answer. So Leo, let me go to you and just ask you from your perspective, lay this out because facing the dilemma that’s presented to many people, all of us really, requires a clear shift from worldly fear, which is what the system is designed to do, to biblical conviction. In this final segment, just take a look at that. But given the dilemma, we’ve got an issue, we’ve got the pressure happening, it’s building.
We have government and people that, well, to whatever extent one trusts them saying, here is the answer, but the answer leads to less freedom and more government control. Okay, living under that, we know what the Bible says, what practical steps should families and pastors, local churches who fear God, I put that in as a requirement definer, who fear God more than government, what steps should they take to prepare both now, materially, spiritually? Put it in that perspective first.
Leo Hohmann:
Well, I think I’m always amazed, truly, Sam, at how much trust still exists in the minds of conservative Christians in the government. You can go to any evangelical Christian church on any given Sunday and hear talking points from the administration being preached from the pulpit with regard to war and international affairs and even in regard to the surveillance state. They call us conspiracy theories and basically are telling people to trust the government. We saw this with COVID when churches closed their buildings down, required masking and were giving out vaccinations, COVID mRNA, gene therapy shots to their congregants, prominent members of the evangelical Christian community, openly and actively promoting shots and even disparaging the pastors who would not go along with the program. Go along with the government’s program. That was the overall message that came from the overwhelming majority of Christian churches during COVID. So I don’t think we should expect it to be any different in the next crisis, whether it be an energy crisis, war, World War III or whatever.
So do not trust the government. And I hate to say it, but do not trust your pastor unless you have measured his words against the word of God. And shows like yours, watch and listen to shows that have a proven track record. What did Sam or myself say during COVID? We were telling people not to get those gene therapy shots. So trust people like that who at least passed the last test and didn’t follow the government narrative when the next crisis comes along. And by the way, read leoHohmann.com, but that was actually not the right website. I haven’t posted there in months. My articles are posted weekly at leoHohmann.substack.com for the latest information coming from me. And of course, I cannot encourage people enough to keep tuning in Sam and Stan to the Gap.
Sam Rohrer:
Okay. Thanks for making your sight clear. LeoHohmann.substack.com. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, Leo Hohmann, two Ns, dot substack.com. All right, Leo, we don’t have too much time left, but what you are describing, what you talked about is correct. Five years ago when the last crisis came, it was a trial run. We talked about it. The people who actually were involved talked about it. One is developing and coming forth. How it manifests fully, don’t know for sure. But one thing we know that based on that, what people have said, the direction that’s going, and what the word of God says is that deception would be the mark of this age. What steps can every person, should every person who loves truth and who truly fears God take not to be deceived in these increasingly deceptive and dangerous days?
Leo Hohmann:
I think number one, we need to pray to God for godly discernment. We can’t rely on our own intuition. It is often open to deception. And number two, stay in the word of God. And number three, follow the teachings of pastors and other watchmen on the wall who got it right the last time. And do not follow these false teachers who were telling people to go get their mRNA gene therapy shots.
Sam Rohrer:
All right. That’s a practical approach, Leo. And I think I’m just going to leave it right there and I’m just going to close in prayer because I think that that is an important thing and you referenced it. Let me just close here now. Heavenly Father, Lord, I thank you for the ability and the freedom that we have to still communicate truth in this medium of radio. And I would ask that those who are listening would have heard what has been said and not even take what we have said as the gospel, unless it has been based in the gospel. And Lord, we’ve tried to do that. And may all of us who are listening, who fear you, make first of all, their commitment to asking the questions of everything that is heard, what does the word of God say? And Lord, that’s what we would like to leave our listeners with here today because on that basis, Lord, you will guide our steps and that’s what we need.
We pray these things in Jesus’ name. Amen. All right, Leo Hohmann, thank you so much for being with me again, ladies and gentlemen, his website, leoHohmann.substack.com. So thanks for being with us today. Join me here tomorrow, a good program tomorrow on finances with David McElvany, and we’ll be talking about interest and the results of the Federal Reserve decisions today and more.
